    • @Technique-kj2bp
      @Technique-kj2bp 2 месяца назад +29

      maybe the reason he's so good at the other events is because his deadlift is so weak. with certain individuals strength potential can sometimes be maxed out in certain areas at the expense of other areas

      @1milliondogs 2 месяца назад +13

      @@Technique-kj2bp If I remeber rightly, he had some lower back issues in the past which affected his deadlift. I don't think it's due to him being overly developed in any other events as such.
      He has still deadlifted over 400kg, which would be considered elite level in any other context.
      If he could just get up to a consistent 440kg he would probably not be dropping so many points in that event.

    1- Carry a 350 pound Civil War cannon on your shoulder for 50 yards or more without dropping it.
    2- Dinnie stones. Hold them for as long as possible without dropping them once. No walking is allowed.
    3- Carry a 1433 pound log on your back for a mere five steps. It could be good if the log has the same diametre everywhere, hence it is not built like a cone.

Maybe if he does specialised training and simplifies the all-round training he could improve it further to the top level. But the stones show him superior to all others. This was a super-odd event to end the competition. I get that ASC doesn't want to copy WSM with the typical stone-off, but it feels like that went to extreme to the other end with a stone press and odd-shaped implement at the end (that most competitors couldn't even rep once). Took away from the drama of the final outcome when Mitch knew nothing was really at stake after most competitors laid an egg before him.

      Pudzianowski nawet jak już wygrał. I tak lubił potwierdzić swoją dominację i wygrać ostatnia konkurencję, nawet gdy nie musiał.

    If Kieliszkowski manages to reach a constant at least +/- 950 "ish", constantly on his deadlift, he will be unreachable.

    It was hard to see Thor unable to lift that first stone which he easily threw up the last time he won the Arnold Classific. Thor is the only other person besides Mateusz who has lifted the 3rd stone two or more times.

    I’m telling y’all Mateusz is going to be top 1 one day. I’ve been watching him for the last 5 years and this guy is unstoppable. He tore his tricep and couldn’t even workout for a months. Then he torn it again and got bacterial infection after unprofessional surgery. Finally after the third surgery everything has been fine so far 🙏 we see those titans on the stages but they all fight with many different problems we don’t even know about. Hafthór is another great example. Feel so sorry for him. Wish them the best 🫡

      Knew there was a tricep tear but didn't know all that, thanks for commenting. That puts everything even more into perspective. If he stays injury free and gets his deadlift up to par, he would be in a whole different league. Dude's already such a monster though, all the respect.

    Mateusz would be Matthew or just Matt in English.

      Travelling the world for months on end instead of training like every else. What did he expect?

      @@joebot9309 yep your right, i certainly believe in people doing what they love and taking different opportunities.. but you have to understand that comes with compromises.. he looked so frustrated it looked like he was expecting a lot more which like u pointed out, was that really ever going to happen? U can't have your cake and eat it! As the saying goes! 😂
      It was always like oberst , he would always come in to events expecting to do amazing but he never seems to take his fitness and health seriously.. so he would do one decent lift totally gas out or get injured (I'll be honest it got so bad with him I kinda got annoyed that they kept letting him compete over competitors that took things a lot more serious)
      Now Martin's I don't think is bad like that, but, he likes his flights of fancy and when you're competing at this level the cracks will start to show.
