This is an important talk for women and people who love women! Why don't more doctors tell their patients about this? Why don't more facilities carry ultrasound equipment? Great talk. Easy to understand and terrific information!

I do too. I’m always scared after I get a mammogram and ultrasound that the doctor is gonna make a mistake and I’ll be in the same situation as you

I learned early on to rely on ultrasound when I went to get a mammogram at 32, and the radiologist followed up immediately with an ultrasound to rule out malignancy. I am a category 4 in density (there are four categories), so I go straight to ultrasound.
Recentl, my ultrasound came back suspicious for malignancy. While I did do a mammogram just to tick all the boxes, sure enough, the mammogram did not pick up the cancer-mimicking condition I had, which was sclerosing adenosis (a biopsy was needed). Had this been actually cancer, the mammogram would have misled me completely. Pretty scary.
A mammogram can be useful as an adjunct tool to detect micro calcifications, the only thing an ultrasound may not show. Micro calcifications can indicate cancer (but are not necessarily a diagnosis of cancer).

She right! I was one of those people. The MRI showed the small areas and it could not be detected via Mammagrams. I was high risk. She is absolutely right. The standard of care needs to change for these type of women. Also, information about reproduction risks needs to be provided to girls in junior high. Women must be informed that if they do not have kids estrogen increases and risk increases. She right right!

I have been having mammograms in Israel for 30 years. They always added ultrasound. Nowadays on young dense patients they do only ultrasound.

Some of us older women are dense, too. This is why we need to educate doctors.

This is so important. I cannot find a Dr who knows any if this, including the Mayo Clinic. I have been all over the state - where can we find breast doctors with knowledge from this century?

Why?! Why is there no emphasis on this? Shouldn’t screening be automatically changed for women with DBT and or family history?

Actually i ve being reading abou it. Insurances companies as always wont help us at all. They do not consider this a prevention BUT diagnostics. So my insurance wont cover. My price tag is 350 for a good clinic. If I self pay is 240. How in the world with all of us knowing by now... 6 years later this was not changed yet? If mammogram cant find cancer on us we should be allow to go for an ultrasound every year for free.

  • @vivonasnuvens
    @vivonasnuvens 2 года назад +5

If all this information is great and true, which is proved so far save lives ..My question is simple....years go by and WHY THEY
INSURANCE COMPANIES WONT HELP US? WHY ONLY MAMMOGRAMS ARE COVERED AND
CONSIDERED PREVENTION WHILE WE HAVE TO PAY HUNDREDS EVERY YEAR FOR AN
ULTRASOUND THE REST OF OUR LIVES???

Thank you so much! great video for me I am told to have another mammogram and ultra sound because I have dense tissues. But I wonder, instead of mammogram why don't they do an ultra sound, the first time, specially to older women who are in their sixties or above 65.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE WHEN YOU YOURSELF ARE DENSE.
SUPPOSE YOU DON'T KNOW THAT YOU DON'T KNOW , OR WHY YOU DON'T KNOW, BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW THAT EITHER.
THE FACT THAT YOU'RE ACTUALLY ALIVE BUT FOR SOME STRANGE REASONS ALL OF THE MALES HAVE SEEMINGLY 1 BY 1 ALIENATED YOU. IS THAT BECAUSE YOUR FAMILY'S DENSE, OR DENSER THAN YOU.
ONCE UPON A TIME THEY WERE THERE OR IT SEEMED BUT NOW THEY'RE NOT.
DOES THAT INCLUDE EX-HUSBANDS OR FATHERS-TO-BE OR CO-PARENTS.( VICE VERSA FOR A GUY OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS FORMED MALE BONDS OR FRIENDSHIPS)
YOU SIMPLY DON'T KNOW WHAT BECAME OF ALL THE LIFE YOU HAD.
PERHAPS IT'S THE THINGS YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD EITHER OF THE FALSE PERCEPTION OF ONESELF OR THE PRETENSE OF OTHERS IN YOUR LIFE WHO REALLY AREN'T FULFILLING A PARTICULAR PURPOSE .
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRULY BEING DENSE VERSUS BEING DECEIVED BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE WHO PREFERRED TO PRETEND THAT THEY WANTED TO BE IN YOUR LIFE LIED TO YOU ABOUT THEIR REAL INTENTIONS.
OR IS IT BECAUSE YOU WERE NEVER EVER ABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE THEIR MOTIVES THE THING THAT CAUSED YOU TO BE IDENTIFIABLE AS "DENSE"
HOW MANY LEVELS ARE THERE TO BEING......DENSE!
    IS BEING DENSE CURABLE.
IS BEING DENSE CAUSED BY ABUSE OR MALNUTRITION OR LACK OF STANDARD SOCIAL INTERACTION ( LACKING SOCIAL SKILLS)
IS THE DETERMINATION OF YOUR LEVEL OF BEING DENSE "OPINIONATED" BY THOSE WHO AREN'T THE LEAST BIT FOND OF YOU ANYWAYS.
ARE YOU DENSE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T COOK OR MAKE COFFEE TASTE GOOD, BECAUSE PERHAPS IN ACTUALITY THE COFFEE IS ALREADY MADE. IT JUST HAS TO GO THROUGH A PROCESS OF BREWING....BEING DEDUCED TO A LIQUID.
PERHAPS YOU'RE CONSIDERED DENSE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FRY AN EGG OR USE THE TOASTER.
MAYBE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY ON YOUR OWN LIVING IN A SINGULAR PERSON'S ENVIRONMENT MANIFEST THOUGHTS OF YOU BEING DENSE.
IS READING OUT LOUD TO YOURSELF A NECESSARY COGNITIVE FUNCTIONING ACTIVITY WHICH CAN COMBAT BEING DENSE.
PERHAPS A DICTIONARY IS A MANUAL TOOL FOR ALL THE UNKNOWN DIFFERENT TYPES OF DIFFICULT WORDS FOUND INSIDE OF THE BOOK.
DOES BEING DENSE EVER REALLY GET ANY BETTER, FOR NOT LONG YOU'LL HAVE AGED AND WHEN DOES NATURAL DEMENTIA SET IN.
    I DON'T KNOW.
