The E-Z flange Spiral Pipe with barrel clamp can be factory installed or shipped loose for field installation. A set consists of two E-Z flanges and one barrel clamp. For field installation the installer attaches the E-Z flange to the pipe and fittings. Next the installer applies the gasket to one flange, mates the two flanges together and attaches the barrel clamp. Sheet Metal Connectors can also install E-Z flanges. Flanges are spot welded and internally sealed on all ends of the spiral pipe and fittings.

This is hard work no matter how you look at it. The flanges are great to use. I use them always especially on larger spiral ducting. If the duct you are installing is going to be painted make sure you tell the manufacturer so he can make sure his workers wipe off excess oils found on the spiral pipe, that way you don't get your clothes all oily and the paint will stick to the spiral pipe. Use 3M spray adhesive before applying gasket to flange. It helps hold it in place especially in cold weather

Good point Phil, you can also ask for it in a paint grip galvanized metal. It is ready for paint and no need to wipe off oil.
