In XC1, Alvis was very composed, very serene, and seldom surprised, as you'd expect from an omniscent computer god. Here, as A, they've been stuck enduring Matthew's stupidity for so long we get lines like "Oh, to hell with it..." and tons of frustrated snark. Matthew successfully broke God.
It could also be a personality unique to A. Like if Alvis were there instead of a new Ontos incarnation, perhaps he'd just be serene AF. A by comparison just has ZERO tolerance, and that's hysterical.
Matthew has absolutely zero thoughts in his head, he's absolutely fantastic. A's great as well for the complete opposite reason, the word "phenomenal" has been seared into my head thanks to the sheer amount of sarcasm infused into it. The two bounce off of each other so well.
"A needs a hug and maybe a little bit of whiskey because she does a LOT of babysitting along with two tired dads": The DLC. There, that's 80% of Future Redeemed(please play it though).

Glimmer is a lot like Mythra despite being Pyra's kid, which makes me think Mythra's kid is probably very gentle and caring like Pyra. Then I think of Dirk being like that and I really want to see it, maybe in the new world he's like that, I know he's most likely not Mythra's kid, but it'd be nice if he could have a normal life in the new world.
Have yet to play Future Redeemed btw. I know characters in Xenoblade sound British/ Western European, but why does Matthew sound like the one who’d most definitely drop a diss track?
Mathew is awesome, does anyone else think Noah is kind of a boring protagonist? He has that emotional arc around ch.5 but beyond that he’s kind of bland and his only driving trait is loving Mio.
Gonna have to disagree with you on this one, his personality is far from only loving Mio. At the start of the game and even in all the backstory, he seems to be the only one that feels remorse for the Agnians and sees them off. Even the puppets that J made in Ch3, he sent those off to atone. And there's a lot more.
You skipped every cutscene Noah is in if you are seriously saying that 🙄 I can literally dumb down Shulk and Rex and call them bland and boring like just same old jrpg anime protagonists, the same way you just shittalked Noah. We all know that's not true. Perhaps go play the game again, because I have never read more idiotic comment than this before.
Noah is the cornerstone to XC3’s theme of understanding the value of life, how we embrace it and let it go, and how we pass it on. He’s a big deal and possibly the most self-realized XC protagonist by the end of things.

If they ever stumbled upon the High Entia Tomb, A would destroy the button before Matthew even saw it

A is what would happen if Alvis had to deal with Reyn for the whole game
@@heyoyo10gaming4she would destroy it even before they entered the tomb
I love how much of this game is just Matthew being the Wise Guy while A is the Straight Man. They're such a good comedic duo.
Matthew's hands are rated E for everyone.
Random infant staring Mathew down
Mathew: *Angry Oi*
He is Mio's descendant, after all
And so is A's sass
"Matthew dont oversleep"
"I wont"
*proceeds to oversleep*
“Aww diddums…”
This man has more hands than brain cells. He is easily my favorite Xenoblade MC.
gotta love the himbo and serious person combo
Matthew is if Eunie or Reyn was a main Protag
Matthew almosts comes off like Eunie & Taion's kid
@@lewa3910 Funny considering who he's actually related to.
He could be in the fourth XB game, with Eunie and Taion as his great-granduncle/aunt!
**slaps Matthew** this boy can fit so many beans in him
I find it absolutely hilarious. He picks her up by the Scruff of her neck like a cat. 1:10
Must be the distant Mio genes
Mediate through parent to litter method always
It’s kinda funny to think about in context. He pretty much scruffed his own great aunt

Forever thinking about a tumblr post I saw that said “so glad they gave Matthew a babysitter”
Why did seeing the poster for Moebius Hunter: Rise make me crack up so much? XD
They told me Matthew would never be ballin.
He's definitely a descendant of Rex and Nia with those attitude and punches
I mean he is distantly related to both of them
