Great film but why oh why didn't the hero just take a sword into most of the fights with him. He was a great fighter and I know that's how he liked to fight but he woulda probably survived the whole thing if he'd just brought a knife to a knife fight .. Make sense?? It does to me anyways.. Brilliant film all the same though.. Thanks for posting this classic on here. I've missed these films. It's a shame they're not show on ordinary TV, terrestrial TV I mean

DAVID MORALES, I give this flic a 9,25. The only thing this movie lacked was some better fight scenes. Let's not get things twisted, there was plenty of fighting just not the name calling big style (a la SAM SEED). ANY ways this one comes highly recommended if you're a fan of the KUNG - FU genre flix...

Hsueh starts off looking for Fung Se Yuk accused of killing him. Tons of good fighting even in the 1st 20 minutes. Hsueh goes to Mr Tongs party and meets Tommy Lee there. Someone is after Miss Tong. Japanese are smuggling goods. Kong Do's men attack Hsueh in a superb house fight. A super kung fu ax fight with Lu Fung and Chung Piao. Kam Kong has an excellent showing. The centerpiece of the ending involves a woman ! Many commenters high praise this Chen Kuan Tai diamond film !

I wonder what the name of the voice actor is. The one whose voicing Chan Kuan Tai. I always hear his voice in a lot of HK films.
I saw him 2 yrs ago and he speak decent English but the funny thing was in my mind I was expecting him to sound like the voice in this movie.LOL!!!! I told a friend that day and she was thinking the same thing and we had a big laugh.
Well now, the dubbers name is Chris Hilton.
