This video took a while ngl. It was both stressful to record and edit :). I seriously need to get a new computer. editing this was like watching a slideshow. Also I accidentally set obs to simple mode, so it didn't record separate audio tracks for my mic and in game sound. Hopefully the audio doesn't sound unbalanced. I will never be able to overcome the guilt this video gave me. Hope you enjoy!!!!
The reason why you can't sell purple gems in particular is because previously, you could print infinite money using the End's Well. Once that exploit were discovered, Klei was quick to patch it, by removing the ability to sell purple gems specifically.
I actually thought about that. Had no idea that was an issue at one point.
Most characters hate purple gems too so I imagine that’s the lord reason, they’re evil and the pigs hate them
@@hoothoot7122 no, in the lore maxwell uses Purple gems for his dark magic (that’s also the reason he starts with one)

There used to be an old bug where ANY lightning on the entire world of Hamlet would strike Wormwood making him extremely hard to play because you'd be constantly struck or set on fire if anything got near the Thunderbirds

I need a don’t starve 2, combine all the features of dst, shipwrecked and hamlet in a way that makes sense. Make the oceans of dst feel like the shipwrecked oceans, random islands with all of the island gear, add the hamlet biomes and creatures to the regular world and maybe a few other new ones. Add beaches to the mainland. Sure keep the “cliffs” like we have now but add beaches with crabbits, dst is a great game but I feel like it has so much more potential if they expanded it in meaningful ways

we will never have that because we already got dst as a live service game, and that game has a LOT of content
@@prroagil1233 I mean that would be one hell of a final update if they decide to give up on it being live service. Add a character from both DLCs and then add buffed versions of the dlc bosses with all your ideas on top of that would make it truly the best survival game to ever release.

Shipwrecked will always be my favorite dlc because it is so beautiful! However! Hamlet is also up there because of how much they added and also it's difficulty scaling!
DON’T know how to better describe this but there needs to be mod of thick brush and the path you travel becomes less resistant the more you travel it.

@@Gatorboy5678 how exactly would you even get human flesh? i don't think that's in the game. also it would kinda make sense since wormwood isn't a human and probably doesn't know much about humanity or the difference between human flesh and meat from animals (idk tho, i'm not a lore expert)
@@horizonbumpy2828 It was a removed feature where if a player dies they drop human flesh. It’s still in the code.
@@Gatorboy5678as humans we find this disturbing but there's like a lot of sapient life in the constant that already eat each other, so it's not too strange that he'd eat human meat. Still damages his sanity to eat it though, so maybe he does feel bad about it, or maybe it just tastes atrocious
Yeah, hamlet is VERY difficult. OrangE actually made a cool realization: everyone jokes that Don’t Starve is about not dying to everything, with starving being the least of your worries. In Hamlet, the town has infinite light, guards to fend off bat waves, but the one thing you can’t have: FOOD.
I really enjoy Hamlet, but I never get very far and unlocking Wilba is always just out of reach.
Don’t take my opinion as the same as the whole audience, but I LOVE long-form Don’t Starve content. Your commentary is nice, figuring stuff out as you go, it’s a breath of fresh air.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Coincidentally I just watched OrangE's video about that yesterday. Hamlet is definitely more limited for food.
I've not felt limited by food when I played it, and I was playing Wolfgang too. Pig skins however... I was wishing there'd be a way to force more bat spawns, as I didn't want to kill pig people.
I settled my main "base" inside a ruin(to not have to deal with pogs) near the pig village, that was near a large pond with lots of lotus roots and hippos. Never had any issues getting food with that nearby.
I cheesed unlocking Wilba by playing WX and making a RoG worls with tons of clockworks and pigs.

Diagnosis: skill issue.
I laughed more than I should have at that one.
I think the bat attacks situation may be because you stopped the aporkalypse before it happened, the game got confused, and on day 60 and forward it treated the bat waves as if you still were in the aporkalypse.
Not only skill issue but also knowledge issue. You need to do a lot of research to avoid pathetic deaths, especially in hamlet.

Going in the with the purple risk of rain music I knew this was going to be an amazing video
hamlet and shipwrecked look paaaaainful to play compared to reign of giants. would be interesting to see you explore all 3 worlds in the same run taking things from one world to the other
And to top things off, by time you have the skyworthy in either world. The aporkalypse will be in full swing and you will have to get through both ancient herald ruins *with angry ghosts in every room*. I was on Day 3/400 when I first jumped over and died 6/7 times despite having every item under the sun from both Shipwrecked and RoG
yeah he could make it his end goal to stop the aporkalypse starting in RoG then heading to shipwrecked and then to hamlet after day whenever the aporkalypse is supposed to start@@trevors.5922

My opinion: The sims 4 team needs to be Fired. On principle alone. They should be ashamed in the worse ways... ive never said this thought out loud and it feels so good.
Hamlet is the easiest dlc for me. I almost immediately unlocked wilba and obliterated the iron hulk and pugalisk. The only thing I'm bad at is killing the ancient herald. But using the gun usually helps me.
