THis isn't Savuka, that's Sipho Mchunu singing and playing guitar and that means this is Juluka.
It is Savuka but Sipho is just playing with them
You’re right. This song was from the 1996 album called ‘Crocodile Love’ by -JULUKA. Savuka disbanded in 1994. Andy Innes, Solly Letwaba and Mandisa Dlanga stayed with Johnny, so that’s why there’s confusion about it being Savuka.
@@susanlarhubarbe9475 I think that Sipho just stepped in and out of the band for various gigs.
@@charleslebek6684 Juluka was re-formed for a short period and toured the US, parts of Europe and SA in 1996 and 1997. Former Savuka members as I mentioned ( Andy, Mandisa and Solly) were included. You’ll see Scorpion Madondo on flute and sax who was an original member of early Juluka.
Anyway, Johnny may mention something about this in his memoirs which are being released in SA in October, called ‘Scatterling of Africa, My Early Years’ by PanMacmillan. Can’t wait for this book which is on pre-order by several agents/suppliers.
