The New York dream is on the agenda for Wombwell Main Football Club in a rare midweek outing.
The Rotherham Charity Cup is one of the oldest cup competitions in the world and the Main take on AFP Pewter Pot in the quarter-finals.
Terry Simon is forced to field a much-changed side against a team with a host with Northern Counties East League stars including Handsworth forward Mitch Dunne.
Can Wombwell cause an upset and move closer to the final which is held at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium?

We are managed by Terry Simon and we are proud members of the EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League. During the 2022/23 season, Terry led the side to a second place finish, narrowly missing out on becoming champions during a very dramatic final round of fixtures.
We are part of a community-led sports and social association based in Barnsley in the United Kingdom.
The area of Wombwell was the birthplace of Manchester United legend Mark Jones who was sadly killed in the 1958 Munich Air Disaster. He is buried in Wombwell cemetery.
