I definitely could hear that sitar sound with the old strings. I recall you mentioning this before and it reminds me to not worry about changing the action until I’ve tried changing strings first. Love hearing you play.
+Dale Palmer It seems like the better the guitar is the more you can hear that sitar sound, if it's a really loud guitar like this one, you tend to hear the sitar sounds better. Thanks for checking it out Dale I appreciate you watching.
I had this exact problem with my mandolin. I couldn't figure out the reason. The inner high E string, which is unbound, was buzzing on the lower frets. There was nothing unusual about the nut or the bridge. Then I saw this video. I wiped the string that buzzed with Isopropal alcohol. That helped. Then I decided to change the strings completely and put on a new set. That solved the problem! No more buzzing.
Excellent video, I also play with very low action and thought it was a relief issue, but never considered the strings themselves, even though I knew they were very old.
Randy is so knowledgable, passionate & sincere. Always sharing useful information. Great guy too. I can't enjoy playing with string-buzz. Drives me crazy & ruins the vibe and experience. My B-String on my Suhr Strat will buzz after 2 months of playing. I put new strings on, and it completely disappears.

Thanks for the tip that does make sense. I'm sure i've had that happen before and I probably blamed myself. I had a similar issue with my strat and what it turned out to be was the pickguard between the neck and middle pick-ups lifts up off the body and makes a buzzing sound. All I have to do is press the pickguard down and the noise disappears. I know you play mainly acoustic but if anyone has a strat style guitar with an unexplainable noise it may be that. Thanks again man for doing what you do.:}
+Jefferson Einstein That's a good tip! I work on electric guitars too so that is very helpful. Thanks for posting it and for checking out my videos! It's pretty amazing just how many little things like this can drive you crazy until you find it. Thanks again mate!
I used to swear to the old Martin Acoustic SP's (red pack 12's), but something went sour on their way and I cant find them anymore. The new "Lifespan's" just would'nt hack it. After trials and errors I found something real sweet. They stay fresh for way longer than anything else I´ve tried. I havent been able to snap any of them yet, and usually I play quite hard. hi. i have a blueridge guitar, and it's buzzing on the open high E string only. if i fret it, it doesnt fret. can it be a problem on the nut? the nut looks ok.
Nice video. Amazing that new strings can make such a difference. I'm thinking that in addition to the increased crud diameter that new strings may slide across a low fret without sticking and thus we don't hear a buzz. A dirty string may catch on the fret and stick/slip causing the buzz sound. Just a thought... Thanks, Durl
+Durl Jones I'd never thought of it like that but that makes perfect sense! Things like this are a lot more noticeable on acoustics I think than electric instruments. Thanks for tuning in and commenting!
+Maurice Erwin It is one of the most powerful guitars I've ever played! We was playing a gig outside one day in 2012 and I heard someone playing this box, followed the sound until I found him and couldn't believe it's power, then to find out it was for sale I bought it right on the spot before it got away! Yes the nut is from an old bieson/bison bone I had, made a huge difference. Thanks for tuning in Maurice! It it much appreciated!
Thank you for doing this I have a slightly high fret but I think it's the strings they haven't been on long but I haven't touched them for about a week and the strings looked rusty and tarnished. Has to be what you said in this video because the week prior I gave it a great setup with new strangs
Good video Randy, I agree about the stringed even old strings don't tune up right and when your guitar is out of tune even a little it can cause you playing problem like making mistakes.🎸🎸🎸😊Hold On!!!
+Steve Harris You're right it can drive you crazy trying to figure out where it's coming from. I noticed this sitar noise on three guitars it kept popping up and figured it out and fixed them all three with just new strings. Thanks for checking it out Steve Hold on! lol
I am glad I saw this video. I think this might be what's causing a similar issue that I'm having with a very low action and buzzing sound on a new guitar I just bought. Perhaps the strings just need to be changed. The guitar may have been in its box for quite some time before I got it and may have developed some rust that I can't see.
Randy I had a similar problem and I took the strings off and boiled them for 5 minutes and got rid of all the crud and rust and then they sounded like new.The only thing is the next time you make spaggetti it might be a little gritty. LOL Im in Canada so a new set of Martin strings is like $15 . not to mention all the work involved in hooking up all the sled dogs and putting on my fur lined underwear.LOL Kidding about the sled dogs.
I've never tried boiling strings but heard people talk about it and they all said their strings were almost like brand new again. WOW, I buy the Martin MSP Lifespan strings by the case and it equals out to about $4 per set. Sled dogs LOL!
I've found, if you mic up new strings, they vary in thickness by a thou. I've had this exact same 'tizzing' problem on two guitars, just recently and it's a total mystery. [I've even swapped strings] the measurements and relief seem to check out but it's still driving me mad. The strings are new D'Addario but one I swapped was for Martin, with no luck. When I found this video, I thought you would have the answer but sadly, it's definitely not rust.
Hi Randy. It's cold and damp here in Texas. Several of mine that had .012 neck relief now have zero neck relief. Easy fix! Loosen the truss rod 1/4 turn. I realize you know this...My comment is for your new subs who haven't worked on guitars as many years as we have. Stay warm bro!
+Crazy Uncle Duke You are correct! Thanks for posting for the newcomers and checking out this video. Yeah when the weather changes it's amazing how much an instruments changes with it.
+Crazy Uncle Duke lol exactly! Then we're good until cold dry weather hits again and we fire up the heaters. It's amazing how many people bring their instruments to me twice every year, and it's always around those times, they could save a lot of $ if they'd just turn a screw themselves but they always say they're afraid of messing something up.
+Randy Schartiger Ha Ha!...I'm sure you don't mind taking their $$$'s...I know I don't. :-) The best part of all of this is we always know what month it is depending on what our guitar necks are doing.
@ 8:21,,That guitar peice , can you please tell me the name of that tune? I wanting to learn how to play that. Or maybe tell me if there's a video that I can go and watch that would teach something similar to that. Thank you
Another "Pearl of Knowledge". thank you brother. Just like to share this tid-bit; beware of strings that have been on the shelf or rack (in a music store) for quite awhile, they will cause probs. Did for me anyways. Peace brother.
+James Glenn That's a good point, that has happened to me before too, or ordering them over the internet and receiving new rusty strings! Thanks for adding that info, I had forgot about it. Thanks for watching as well! Cheers brother!
Hey Randy...I remember you talking about this once before. I think I commented then that I always thought this happened because old strings lost their tension & got "floppy"...I never thought about corrosion build up...definitely makes sense...thanks for the info! I'm wondering if it might be a little of both factors causing this?
+WindOfTheWisp I remember us talking about this before too! I don't know if the string actually gets floppy, it's still at the same tension when tuned up, I think it's more of them being bigger in diameter, with close action they have less room to move and would seem floppier, either way it certainly is a factor that has to be corrected especially with instruments with very low action, and I prefer mine low! Thanks for tuning in! :)
great tip randy, the martin sounds loud with the new strings.I usualy carry micro fiber cloth in case to wipe her off when finished playing!!good picking, hold on!!
+blkjckgtrnut New strings on this guitar really brings it to life after laying unplayed for 5 or 6 months, the next set she'll really be sweet! Thank ya mate! Hold on! :)
Thnks man. U really help me out. Before this my 1st string was broke. And i changed it with some cheap string. Then i noticed my 1st string make buzz noise. Really annoying. I never thought it caused by the string that I've changed. After watching your video, now I know the problem. Really helpful. Thanks again.
+Woodeso's Guitar Mods Yes!!! This sitar thing almost drove me nuts before I figured it out, I did everything BUT new strings, lol usually it's the last thing you check. Thanks for tuning in mate!
i changed my strings a while ago and they sound really twangy and this happened the second they were changed but it's only on the b and e string on the first few frets. they are different strings than the ones that came with the guitar but I don't know if that would affect it this badly
+sam eldin That's just a picking pattern I ran across one night practicing and thought it sounded pretty cool, I don't think I've ever heard it anywhere before but it's possible it's a prt of a tune or something I've heard. Thanks for checking out the video mate. Cheers!
I just got a guitar from zzounds.... and there is so much saddle buzz!!!! I'm gonna change strings and hopefully it will be gone... the neck is perfect on this guitar....
Randy, I know its been three and a half years since this video was published, but I didn't hear a definitive answer telling WHY strings buzz (excluding frets) except for 'rust, corrosion and shit'. And then, the answer is replace the strings, but this might not cure the problem because individual strings might have different thickness along their length (this makes sense). I have a 1968 Guild D25 and I play jazz with light strings (10-46 ga). All of the frets are flat, good intonation, etc., but the only string that buzzes is the B string. do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks.
+12Radius I have it set 3/64 on high E and 5/64 on low E at 12th fret, you can just think a lick and it almost plays it lol Thanks man for checking it out.
I used to have issues with my old Martin with non adjustable rod getting buzzy in the winter... Not so much now that I live in humid southwest Florida! By the way the Harmony H162 showed up this week. Gonna be my slide box for the time being. Maybe one day I'll have a shop space again and I can reset the neck and pull the back to X brace the top.
+Caleb Hawkins Those older Martins without a truss can be a beast sometimes. Cool you got the Harmony! That guitar would be nice after a neck reset, the frets are like that of an electric guitar. Definitely worth saving. Thanks for tuning in Caleb.
+Randy Schartiger If you go to my channel and dig around probably 90 percent of it is music made with my Martin. The Harmony does indeed have a great fretting neck. The poplar neck blocks on those guitars never were stable enough to hold a guitar for very long without needing a reset. Since it didn't cost me anything I'll probably pony up for a reset sometime though.
Caleb Hawkins I don't know what Harmony was thinking, they were pretty popular and could have been a lot bigger if they had put a little more craftsmanship in their work.
+Randy Schartiger Harmony was trying to crank me out fast and cheap. Reverb did an article on them a few months back and found one of the old guys from there to talk to. Basically the folk boom happened and then Japan started making some really cool stuff.
Randy my strat with Floyd Rose is buzzing in G string all entire neck I leveled all the frets, I polished them, the neck is straight the action is 1.75 mm in 6 string and 1.5 mm in 1 string. It has always been like this and there was never a buzz. The strings are new stainless steel 009-042. I do not know what else to give him. Any advice that can help me. Happy New Year, 2018
Well I have new Elixir strings on my Simon and Patrick . Im getting some buzz . I know what I need to do . I need a set up . I used the trust rod to get the action down to where I like it . But now I have no relief in the neck at all . I should send it to you . lol I love that turn your playing . I know you have a video on it somewhere . I need to learn it . thanks .
+Dev9172 I think that tune is called "the girl I left behind" or something like that, I played it wrong for years until someone finally told me what it sounded like then I looked it up and learned it properly. Yeah you could probably loosen your truss a tiny bit just enough to eliminate the buzz. Thanks for tuning in mate!
Yes I was just not happy with the sound . And it was in tune . So i just let off the truss rod a bit . Its better / / I still need a set up . I will do it in when I need new string . Take it in .
what should I do when my B string is buzzing on first 3 frets, all other strings are OK... its annoying. my height is 1,6 and 1,2 mm, MATON EBG808A acoustic guitar model
What if you have a brand new guitar? I got a Baby Taylor and for the first few weeks there was no buzzing. Now there is? I did turn the truss rod because I thought the action became a little high. I did turn the truss back a little, but.. I have looked it up online and it seems many people have the same problem with Taylor's. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
Hi, what strings can you recommend for my Martin Dreadnought junior? It has buzzing sounds in open A and D strings and while pressing D strings on the second fret.. thanks for your help. I am currently using daddario coated phospor bronze EXP. 12s.

Just purchased a 2016 Gibson Les Paul Traditional with the same problem. Except the strings are new and the buzz is at the nut. Also the g string wont hold its tune. I play a C chord and it soinds fine. Then I llay a D and its out i tune the G string so the D chord is in tune, and the C chord sound out of tune. Any suggestions or ideas on the cause of this and how to fix it?
I've had it happen with just old strings as I thought I needed a fret job and a told me to try changing the strings I thought ya ok!! but did it and the buzz went away so sometimes it could just be worn strings too not sure why but the old strings can be a pain in the arss and changing to the wrong size will do it too as the guitar is set for certain strings I run bluegrass gauge with med. tops and light bottoms just my experience with string buzz thanks for your posts be well & keep the post coming
+paul taylor haha well thanks for the kind words my friend. I'm slowly getting back to playing better the way I used to be able to but it's taking a lot of practice time and work, I'll eventually get back to where I once was if I stay at it long enough. Yes strings can make or break a guitar, especially acoustic because no added effects or anything, what you hear is what you get when it comes to acoustic. Yes! More posts to come! Thanks for keeping it here Paul I appreciate it!
What a huge difference, that thing sounds great! I had that same exact problem with that Kramer acoustic a couple years ago. It had ratty old strings on it and a bad buzzing. I bought it to a friend of mine cause I was sure it needed a fret job.He put new strings on and it was good to go.He could have really screwed me! Great video brother!
+guitarstruggles This is one of the most powerful acoustics I've ever played, when I got the chance to buy it I was all over it! lol Your friend is a good one, yes he could have easily told you frets needed work and all kinds of money taking repairs. Thanks for tuning in and commenting brother I truly appreciate it!
@Randy Schartiger Randy I have a situation, that has in my 10 years of playing never happened before...so on my taylor the 11th fret suddenly (G string no other), over night pretty much, started buzzing really hard, I didn't thought much of it, but.. Another overnight and it turned out dead! Sounds the same as 12th fret, now I wonder what is more likely, that my neck got a tat of a back bow because of the winter dry air, or my 12th fret popped out? It doesn't seem like it tho and the strings are pretty much 1 week old at this time...
it sounds like your 12th fret has popped up slightly out of the slot if 11th and 12th frets are both the same note. it's not likely but possible your 11th fret was popped up and has went back into the slot, either way try tapping them back in the slots.
anyone have any input. My acoustic guitar on frets 2 to 4 is buzzing on the high E string when fretted. Also buzzing on 3rd fret thickest E string when fretted. Guitar played perfect last time I played it about 2 months ago. The season has just changed and got warmer here. Any input on how to fix this?
Thank you very much Randy! never thought of it. but it makes sense! finally not a fucker who's going strait to neck relief and such! just some gold old advice to check first! Again, Thanks Man! Greetings from the Netherlands!
That's what many of the so called "Luthiers" around this area does, strings start to buzz they head straight to the truss and start screwing with it. Thanks for tuning in my friend!
Hello bro i have Cort AD890CE Acoustic guitar so the thing is 1st and 2nd string sound is very low when i connect to amplifier and the 1st and 2nd string is buzzing in 8 and 6 fret whats the problem bro ??? Plss help me
I bought a Martin drs1 and had to take it back my Low e string went dead lost all action I was told the neck was warped, I got another one same thing happened took it to a pro luthier and was told the top sunk any advice on that guitar
if the top is really sunk you might try putting on heavier strings and leave them on until it pulls the top back up, or use the strings you have and tune the guitar one half step higher than normal and leave it until it pulls back up. keep an eye on it. lastly, if you haven't humidified it in a while I would recommend that.
I have this issue on my Yamaha acoustic with new strings, on the "B" string, the guitar is only 1yr old...any ideas ? doesn't have a particularly low action
Sounds like a problem when they make the necks. Like having a tiny high spot just at some point under the A string. Use a fret rocker and see if you can find the high one and take it down.
+KY. T.O. Thank you Tim! Yeah this is one of the most powerful guitars I've ever played when it's set up right and got good strings, I've been playing it since making this video and the top is loosening back up and sounding better every day. The top hadn't been moved for 6 months in the video.

I tuned it myself with an app then and almost all of the strings have been buzzing awfully since then.what do i do .help me .i haven't picked up the guitar since the buzzing started
make sure the app options are set at A440 pitch, sometimes they can get changed but the default setting should be A440. it sounds like you may be tuned too low.
YES it sounds BAD. STOP... I had a Buzz in my acoustic. Took it to a shop to trouble shoot and they couldn't find anything wrong either. Took it home and changed the offending string... Done Deal. Wound G string was damaged from using a dime for a pick.
OMG! Change the dirty old strings! Never thought of that! I been using the same set since I got my guitar 47 years ago...no wonder they're buzzing! Is there an effect pedal to get that cool Nik Drake sound back on my axe? I hate the sound of new strings! lol 420!

@ 8:21,,That guitar peice , can you please tell me the name of that tune? I wanting to learn how to play that. Or maybe tell me if there's a video that I can go and watch that would teach something similar to that. Thank you
Thanks for the video, this may help with my problem. I just want to know about those animals on the wall? Those are some nice looking mounts!
Hold on! :)
Thumbs up from Australia 🇦🇺👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺👑🙏🏼🙋🏼♂️
Thnks man. U really help me out. Before this my 1st string was broke. And i changed it with some cheap string. Then i noticed my 1st string make buzz noise. Really annoying. I never thought it caused by the string that I've changed. After watching your video, now I know the problem. Really helpful. Thanks again.
That's amazing. I fish weird sounds out of bridges mostly. Boy it can be a pain to pin down the source of some sort of rattle or buzz.
+Woodeso's Guitar Mods Yes!!! This sitar thing almost drove me nuts before I figured it out, I did everything BUT new strings, lol usually it's the last thing you check. Thanks for tuning in mate!
It's definitely the last thing I'd think it was;-) Great video!
Woodeso's Guitar Mods
Thanks brother!
Youre darn good man!!! Love it.
WoW great sounding Guitar..
+CrawfishParish Thank you mate! It's one of the best guitars I've ever played. For the price it should be lol
I dub thee The Wizard.
If I have a close set up and change to a slightly lighter gage string will that possibly creat a buzz on D? Or any strang
i changed my strings a while ago and they sound really twangy and this happened the second they were changed but it's only on the b and e string on the first few frets. they are different strings than the ones that came with the guitar but I don't know if that would affect it this badly
Tanks for the string advise Man ☺
+Alf Agerup You're welcome bro, thanks for checking it out! :)
Randy Your Cool Beans. No Doubt. keep Us The Great Videos My Friend.
Thank's for sharing this dude ... but let me ask you , what's the name of that sweet tone you played at the end ? ... cheers pal
Thanks.
Sounds nice on that Martin.yeah looks like low action i could see that.
+12Radius I have it set 3/64 on high E and 5/64 on low E at 12th fret, you can just think a lick and it almost plays it lol Thanks man for checking it out.
Randy Schartiger LOL, plays itself...
I got some guitars like that.
Caleb Hawkins
I don't know what Harmony was thinking, they were pretty popular and could have been a lot bigger if they had put a little more craftsmanship in their work.
+Randy Schartiger Harmony was trying to crank me out fast and cheap. Reverb did an article on them a few months back and found one of the old guys from there to talk to. Basically the folk boom happened and then Japan started making some really cool stuff.
Bro TV must really suck when I'd rather watch you and others on the tube...lol
I had a buzz at the tuning peg,it was a loose beauty ring.
i love the bluegrass in you .
thanks man, there is a lot of it in me, more than my hands let me show.
@@RandySchartiger you poor fucker id like to speak with you privately regarding your health issues so im gonna have to join your patreon soon i think i already have ,i have some suggestions for the shakes you have as well as your rheumatoid arthritis.
@@RandySchartiger i have to say out of all the channels yours and dave's world of fun stuff and a few other small time channels like eric c and david winter you guys really influence my videos both setting up and playing guitars i've fixed 3 acoustic guitars following your videos ,shaved bridge saddles filling cracks and flaws hell i even brought a hohner classical back to life,i can safely say the day i see no uploads coming from you im gonna wanna know what's up.
@@irishwanderer4206 that's great to hear man! I always dig it when someone says they;ve learned from my videos or they have helped, to thanks for that!! yeah between the shakes, RA and focal dystonia it's a wonder I can still play at all! I don;t know how much longer I can do it with my vision too failing but videos will keep rolling as long as I can for sure! :)
@@RandySchartiger have you tried cbd for the RA and I'm still catching up on the videos I heard you had more problems but didn't realise it was the eyes shit hope you'll pull through ,rather that hoping DO IT !haha
Did not think of that.
I got a 000-28 martin getting a neck reset.factory job.Also I hear that rosewood.
+12Radius Very cool I hope you can make a video with it. Yeah man that rosewood is the key in good sounding acoustics.
Will do a video when i get it back.
Hell yeah haha the house that never sleeps! 🤘🏼
Any suggestions or ideas on the cause of this and how to fix it?
thanks randy
I've had it happen with just old strings as I thought I needed a fret job and a told me to try changing the strings
I thought ya ok!!
but did it and the buzz went away so sometimes it could just be worn strings too
not sure why but the old strings can be a pain in the arss
and changing to the wrong size will do it too as the guitar is set for certain strings I run bluegrass gauge with med. tops and light bottoms
just my experience with string buzz thanks for your posts
be well & keep the post coming
+paul taylor PS if my playing was 1/2 as good as your so called sucking I'd be a happy camper lol
Thanks for keeping it here Paul I appreciate it!
need a can of "shitaway" !! Thanks Randy !
+Michael Sean Harrell lol yes! Someone should invent it! lol Thanks for tuning in Michael!
Randy how do you feel about nylon strings?
Thanks!
anyone have any input. My acoustic guitar on frets 2 to 4 is buzzing on the high
E string when fretted. Also buzzing on 3rd fret thickest E string when fretted. Guitar played
perfect last time I played it about 2 months ago. The season has just
changed and got warmer here. Any input on how to fix this?
only my low e string is buzzing when its played open . what should i do to fix it? pls reply
and my strings are new too....
and the neck of the guitar is straight
I've got the same problem but with the open A string
Jonathan Ocampo same
Love ya dude, but what if it’s not your strings? I watched this for nothing
When I got my Fender T Bucket, it did a strange buzz only when fretting the second fret. It was the nut, it was cut too low.
+Richard Kurbis (PAINFINGER) Those 1st thru 5th fret buzzes are hard to pin down sometimes. Thanks for checking it out Richard.
I heard the buzz moves to string no 4 (D) now.. LOL!
LOL~~~~~
11.25 - 11.35 hear the buzz ... LOL!
that was my shitty playing lol
Randy Schartiger It's okay.. don't worry about that.
My strings are brand new out of the box and my B keeps doing the sitar sound (and it's an electric if that matters.) I suspect my bridge saddle
If it only does it when the string is played open without noting it's either the saddle or nut break angle.
my single G string iS buzzing ..what can i do?
Mine too. On my Strat with floyd rose.. strangily enough only the G string. Brand new strings too
jrforworldpresident Same issue on Ibanez strat..
gunjan mehta same here !
my guitar's g string is buzzing!
GUYS I SOLVED IT! or at least it worked for me. JUst buy a new nut. thats it :D
***** I bought plastic one in local instruments shop for 1 buck. Works fine, just neede little bit of sanding
Hello bro i have Cort AD890CE Acoustic guitar so the thing is 1st and 2nd string sound is very low when i connect to amplifier and the 1st and 2nd string is buzzing in 8 and 6 fret whats the problem bro ??? Plss help me
What was the name of the song you were playing?? please tell me so I can learn it
Not sure which song you mean?
I bought a Martin drs1 and had to take it back my Low e string went dead lost all action I was told the neck was warped, I got another one same thing happened took it to a pro luthier and was told the top sunk any advice on that guitar
if the top is really sunk you might try putting on heavier strings and leave them on until it pulls the top back up, or use the strings you have and tune the guitar one half step higher than normal and leave it until it pulls back up. keep an eye on it. lastly, if you haven't humidified it in a while I would recommend that.
can you pick out Yellow Rose Of Texas ? I can play it but I know it can be picked . thanks .
+Dev9172 No but I'd like to learn it sometime, I can play rhythm and chords to it but I'm not sure they are exactly right.
yes I can just play the cords
Probably the a string coil broke??
very nice great
+ylcn77ylcn Thank you my friend for checking it out.
mine is pretty sure its the action. I figured that out when I remove the 1st note of a barre chord and playing the last octave instead.
yep that fixed. it
I have this issue on my Yamaha acoustic with new strings, on the "B" string, the guitar is only 1yr old...any ideas ? doesn't have a particularly low action
Greg RSVR I have the exact same problem, on my Yamaha, brand new strings, and buzz on only the b string
Simon Ruvin same here. Yamaha
Sounds like a problem when they make the necks. Like having a tiny high spot just at some point under the A string. Use a fret rocker and see if you can find the high one and take it down.
Good info Randy BTW that is a good sounding Box!
+KY. T.O. Thank you Tim! Yeah this is one of the most powerful guitars I've ever played when it's set up right and got good strings, I've been playing it since making this video and the top is loosening back up and sounding better every day. The top hadn't been moved for 6 months in the video.
I've changed the strings but the Buzz still remains
Hi Randy, this buzz sound is the antichrist for me,because in my country and location doesn't exist luthiers.
I know what you mean it can drive one crazy! thanks for checking out my videos!
@@RandySchartiger Randy, I need your help, I need to learn to fix those antichrist sounds,I bought 2 daysca martin dx2 and it has in 7 sites, the guitar is new and I need it to record an album.
It s possible please?
Thanks to you for be honest and simple.
Hey randy is that the wifes song Mr.Sandman?just fucking with yah!!stay cool brother!!
+blkjckgtrnut hahaha could be! lol thanks for checking it out brother!
My strings are new just changed them..they still buzz
mine kinda sounds like a violin is playing background all of a sudden.. it sounds good, but i've never heard this before....?
check your nut and saddle right where the string leaves them, you might have to file it a little. thanks for watching!
@@RandySchartiger damn it boy! didn't think i'd get a reply from the man himself. dig your channel and have learned quite a bit. keep 'em coming, boss man. now... what am i looking for exactly? they're both tusq. seemed pretty on point until i put extra light strings vs my usual lights. i went back to lights but the noise remains.
@@RandySchartiger update! turned out to just be a little dehydrated. this is the first solid wood guitar i've ever owned. never had this issue with my old poverty ponies. keep it classy, sir!
I just bought a new guitar that was tuned by the salesman at that time. It was alright for a few day but i messed up by turning a few keys just because the strings were real loose .but man..i didn't think about the sound being messed up then.
It was the fender guitar tuning app, this sounds stupid but maybe that app might be made fir fender guitars only?
Is A440 the standard tuning?and is there a good tuning app you can recommend, since i don't yet have a tuner?
pro guitar tuner, one of the best I've used. I use it on Android bit it's probably available for Linux and other platforms as well.
YES it sounds BAD. STOP... I had a Buzz in my acoustic. Took it to a shop to trouble shoot and they couldn't find anything wrong either. Took it home and changed the offending string... Done Deal. Wound G string was damaged from using a dime for a pick.
I was thinking about it too that sitar sound bugged the fuck out of me
OMG! Change the dirty old strings! Never thought of that! I been using the same set since I got my guitar 47 years ago...no wonder they're buzzing! Is there an effect pedal to get that cool Nik Drake sound back on my axe? I hate the sound of new strings! lol 420!
Did you kill that bear (barr) with a rifle or bow?
+Adam Wallen Yeah I killed it with a bow, that was I think the 5th or 6th one, and the smallest lol I figured on getting a bigger one but started playing music again and stopped hunting so never did get to try for a bigger one.
Dude, I can't help but notice that the video is over-exposed and washed out in terms of light.
