    Honestly remember the basics! Your hair doesn’t look too bad girl❤
    1. For oils, don’t use any of those “hair” oils. You need the rawest ingredients when it comes to hair. So I always use olive oil or coconut oil usually used for food. If it’s good enough to eat. Good enough for hair.
    2. Maybe try to manipulate your hair less. Braids and cornrows can be great but if you think certain protective styles are too time consuming and irritating on scalp. Try finger coiling hair, two strand twists, two space buns and keep using scrunchies. The less pulling and combing the more your hair will breathe and grow. Finger coil the front and use a denman for the crown and back of head.
    3. For shampoo/conditioner keep it short and simple. I use maui moisture for both, since it’s free from any sulfates, parades, fake “oils”, alcohol etc.
    And once every 3 weeks do a simple mask with homemade ingredients great for healthy hair. Make sure (besides the oil you’ll add) that there aren’t many ingredients that’ll overwhelm your hair. Remember, something strong and effective, while simple and natural. No more than 3 ingredients.
    I usually just make sure my olive oil is slightly warm and I mix with conditioner and I let it sit with a bag on my head for overnight and wash off in the morning. If that’s not your cup of tea then keep it in for at least 3 hours.
    Lastly, lower stress. I know. In this world it’s hard but my hair genuinely started to give inches once I stopped tweaking and stressing about everything that instantly happens to me. ❤❤❤

    I was in the same place as you and decided to take a break from wash n gos.
    Here’s what has transformed my high density, high porosity, fine hair:
    1. Using moisturizing deep conditioners and reducing protein in all of my products.
    2. I have been using the Camille Rose curl Love as a leave in and incorporating a silicone moisture serum before blowing out my hair with the revair.
    3. I make some chunky twistouts with the Almond Jai Twisting Butter and focus on my ends being full coated.
    Wearing my hair in a stretched state has made a tremendous difference in my moisture retention, breakage, single strand knots, and shine. Maybe give it a try, especially if you have the revair!
    This routine has been so much easier and it takes much less time on wash day because it’s not as tangled.
    I’m actually going to be posting about it on my yt channel in a few weeks: @JunandClyde

      Hey girl thanks for sharing. I did use to do something similar in regards to styling but got lazy. Wish i had the revair but its not available in the UK🫠. Imma try just sticking to stretched styles from now on

    Omg I always do the same thing. Wait longer than 3 months to straighten my hair because of an occasion I want my hair straight for and my ends end up being horrible. I’m thinking to start trimming before 3 months too. But I’m gonna learn to do it myself without straightening it cause getting a silk press every 2 months is alot of money and too much heat

    • @kekekurly
      @kekekurly  Месяц назад +1

    I apologize if you’ve covered this in your previous videos but do you use any oil for your mids & ends to keep them from splitting? Also maybe consider using some bond builders like K18 or Redken Acidic Concentrate. I think have been understated textured hair.
    Thank you so very much for sharing your journey with us! 💖

    • @kekekurly
      @kekekurly  Месяц назад

      Heyy i use oil intermittently I wouldn’t say im too fond of them when i do a wash and go other than to break the cast. I do have k18 but not sure if my hair actually likes protein products or not. I think maybe starting with less manipulation is probably my best bet.🥰

    • @shelly.v.247
      @shelly.v.247 29 дней назад

      @@kekekurly Actually K18 isn’t a protein treatment at all. It repairs protein bonds that get broken and protein treatments replaced protein that’s been loss. I know it can be very confusing though because many people think that as well. 😅
      Sounds good and good luck with your journey 💖

    This happened with my hair. I'm 3c high porosity. The only thing that worked *for me* is conditioners with silicones. Specifically amodimethicone

    The best time of my hair’s life and when I had the least amount of shedding and the most amount of length retention was when I had a wash day every 7-10 days. The style was always twists placed into a bun so that my ends were both stretched and covered. It kept them from tangling but it also kept them moisturized for days. (I’m high porosity btw.) I also used an aloe vera leaf as a prepoo and sprayed my hair with aloe vera juice after twisting but before placing them in buns. That was a lot but I hope it helps. 😅

      💯 Unfortunately, I think our hair (high porosity and fine) does better when it’s washed more often. Our strands are some water hoes. 😂

    How often do you trim? Are you only trimming once a year? Maybe try a little more and the splits wont travel up as much. Believe it or not it helps with length retention really well. Also try more longer term low manipulation styles. Two strands twist would look so good on you. Hope this year is better for you!
