Socks controversy: KK Mart founder, wife acquitted; company, supplier fined RM60,000

The Shah Alam Sessions Court has acquitted KK Mart Group founder Datuk Seri Dr Chai Kee Kan, his wife Datin Seri Loh Siew Mui, and three directors of Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd from charges of wounding religious feelings of Muslims with socks bearing the word "Allah".
Judge Muhamad Anas Mahadzir ruled after the prosecution withdrew the charges.
However, KK Supermart and Superstore Sdn Bhd was fined RM60,000 after general manager Tee Kok Hiem pleaded guilty. Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd was also fined RM60,000 for conspiring in the offence.
Judge Anas emphasised the importance of stricter quality control to prevent future incidents.

Very Unfair. Why fine rm 60,000. The judge must withdraw convictions and Refund the Fine. The word ALLAH IS AN ARAB CHRISTIAN WÓRD and is used by ALL ARAB CHRISTIANS LONG BEFORE ISLAM WAS BORN.. Malaysia is a multi- Racial and multi-religious and SECULAR Country as per MA63 AGREEMENT.....ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUAL and must resoect and honour each other's religions.
