I don't know if y'all don't but the Darkseid we see isn't even the real Darkseid. They're just clones because if the actual Darkseid was to come to our universe, he very existence will cause a rupture in the very fabric of space-time
... Sort of. "Clones" isn't exactly the right word. There is ONE Darkseid in ALL of the Multiverse. He is a level ABOVE what we are. So to enter a universe, what we get is like a "slice" of his entire "Godhead".
Obviously the New Gods/Fourth World material has been reinterpreted time and again, so what is canon and not is up for debate. But the writer that I feel "gets" Kirby characters best is Grant Morrison. Final Crisis is like the Old Testament for the DC universe (Multiversity is the New Testament).
But apparently you can just fly to his planet 😂
@@NPClownumber81googolplex well, like Darkseid, it isn't ALL of Apokalips. Just a sliver. Anything Fourth World related qualifies as such.
It took me years to realize how to pronounce "Dark side". I thought it was pronounced, "Dark seed". Then I heard Jack Kirby himself pronounce it aloud in an interview.
Color me shocked!:)
This is EXACTLY the type of content I'm here for
Marvelous! Like the work all of u do! Can we get Lord chaos and master order? More importantly the in-betweener? All cool! Thanks!
Who?
so batman tries to kill darkseid, and he kills batman instead (self defence), but it turns out what he did was even more merciful by just putting him back in time?
i'm not saying that was great of him, but it is less cruel than how most human would react
would you spare the live of someone trying to kill you knowing that he's likely to come back to finish the job?
I don't know if you're going to get into it by the end of the video but dark side is actually the size of this universe I'm pretty sure but can't be within it he's only Semi tangible here that's why Superman can beat him sometimes because he's never fully here if he were to be here with all his capacity he would murder everybody
I explained it in a response a few minutes ago. It's hard to explain and even harder to grasp if you're not the type to ponder about sci-fi concepts AND theology. All the Pantheons Kirby created were heavily influenced by any and all existing mythology or Religion.
It has nothing to do with size. It's about things that are beyond our comprehension (think Stephen King's IT). Gods and higher beings exist on a plane higher than our own. So when they DO enter our universe, it's like all we get is a sliver of their finger. It is a piece of them and can carry out the host's wishes.
The video mentions the Death of the New Gods, which had the Fourth World characters being reborn through people on Earth. When the very weak version of Darkseid emerged from Dan Turpin during Final Crisis, him being shot by Batman and whisked away by the Black Racer caused him to fall backwards through time, tearing a hole in reality.
It took Superman's wish for a happy ending with the Miracle Machine to prevent it from destroying all of existence. So to say the dude is powerful is an understatement. Darkseid simply IS. And there's nothing anyone can do about it.
He cannot be erased, similar to how Superman can't be wiped out. The DC universe exists, with both characters acting as pillars on either side of the spectrum.
I like cruel...

What would Darkseid do to the High Evolutionary ?
Two different tiers. Darkseid is god s-tier.
High evolutionary is at least 1 step under that. At the very least, 1 step.
These are kind of cute. “Most of them”. I don’t watch DC but these stories seem more like Darkseid is into mischief not genocide 😂
Read DC. They are stories. Absorb them the way they're meant to be.
Also, he doesn't want Genocide. To rule the universe, you must remove the free will of all living creatures before enslaving them. That is what the Anti-Life Equation is. Math that proves life is meaningless and that all routes lead to Darkseid. So they submit. They give in. There is no fighting it.
I mean dark side in the DC Comics is crazy but let's not forget the characters in the comments that are much stronger than him they will put him to shame
There are none. Not in the entire DC Metaverse.
I'm sorry but batman died and no matter what you batman fans says or what DC comics does to reverse his dead by sending him to past is completely joke. Same for superman vs doomsday. Superman died in that fight but DC comics reversed it because the out cry from the fan's.
Darkseid Vs. BRANIAC
The only version that would even stand a chance is Brainiac Prime, the antagonist of Convergence. As opposed to simply collecting cities from dying worlds, he snatched entire timelines before they were over-written by changes in the Multiverse.
The 2 issue minis that tied into the event were quite good. It's just a shame that the event itself was given to someone with zero experience in comics. Though we did get the Lois & Clark spin-off book, which gave us pre-Flashpoint Superman back, as well as Jon Kent for the Rebirth launch.
For a short time, we got a load of awesome material from that, until they decided to age up Jon, ending the Super Sons era and the whole "Super Dad" thing Clark has going on. Was certainly an influence on the Superman & Lois show.
Anyway... Brainiac. Right. Awesome villain. But Darkseid would destroy him easily, in any scenario. He's a distant second as far as best cosmic Superman villains go.
You might as well say Darkseid Vs. your grandma
@@NPClownumber81googolplex Darkseid best not mess with my granny. She'd kick his @ss 😆
If Braniac Could fold every Kryptoian and Dawgs Superman. He could definitely take out Darkseid. While over thinking these things Braniac technically stands a better chance against Darkseid than superman himself. Meaning he could take them both out.
Wow. That Darkseid did some incredibly bad stuff. I collect DC MULTIVERSE action figures. And rumor has it, there's supposed to be a BUILD - A- FIG, or a Mega Fig of Darkseid. So I'm hoping that happens. But I would like to see Grail as a DC MULTIVERSE 7" action figure. And Orion and Grayven the sons of Darkseid as Mega Figs. Maybe as far as those 3, it could be wishful thinking.
Read comics. Toys are cool, but stories are forever!
@@MykeHavoc And your point is. Stories are forever. But I was just making a comment. I don't read the comics. But I do look at the videos. Toys are forever as well. Because just like making movies from these comics, then sooner or later they make the toys .
@@rogerbaker4531 Toys are made of plastic, and will eventually erode and cease to exist. Comics are modern mythology. Superman will one day be spoken about in the way that people today talk about Jesus.
The first thing I ever got into collecting was action figures, 25 years ago. It was an amazing time to be alive given the rise of companies like Macfarlane.
But I love storytelling. Movies, TV, books, Music etc. so I pivoted to that. I found it more fulfilling than the figs. I can't help but try to spread the gospel. As long as you do what makes you happy, you're good.
