    Thank you for the detailed information and background history. The narrowrating creates an actual live tour guide feel.

      There should be quite a bit going on right now. Last week was a busy spring break week I know.

    Wow things have sure changed since I lived in Springfield back from 1986-1990. I used to visit Branson often. Is Baldknobbers no longer there? Or Shoji Tabuchi?

    • @findushere
      @findushere  Год назад +2

      The old Balknobbers' Theater is now the site of the Wonder Works building (the one built upside down) and the Baldknobbers now operate the Branson Famous Theater on 165 that was the original site of the Acrobats of China. Most of the original Baldknobbers are no longer part of the cast. Shoji and his daughter are doing a small show part of the year in the theater at the Imax but not in his theater in several years. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. I have many more planned! 😀

    So we are planning on heading to Branson in July, mid July and I am wondering how soon should I purchase tickets or make reservations. We are planning on going to Dollar City, Top of the Rock Gulf Cart trail ride, and Branson Belle. I was thinking of starting in April. What say you? thank you.

    • @findushere
      @findushere  Год назад +1

      July can get pretty busy. It's a good idea to book accommodations early to get what you want. I usually spend about 10 days at my condominium in July and I block them before summer. They are actually blocked already but no other July days are so it's pretty early. I would say April will work fine. You can get show tickets for most shows when you get there but if you're planning to see The Haygoods (probably Branson's most popular show) I would get them as early as possible to get good seats. They almost always sell out. I would buy Silver Dollar City tickets online just to avoid the hassle but it doesn't have to be done way in advance. Top of the rock, you can reserve online and probably a few days ahead will work. It will get busy this time of year though, so I would book at least a little ahead. If you're thinking of getting Captain's Club tickets (something I would recommend if you don't mind spending the extra money) on the showboat, I would book them in April but regular seating could be done later if you want. I general, April is early enough for any of it. Shameless promotion :) If you're interest in booking everything (or part of this) in one place, I am an affiliate of a company who does all that and gives all kinds of discounts. If you're interested you can find a link on my website video page at findushere.com/video by clicking on the Branson on the Web promo under the first video. I get paid commission for this but it doesn't cost you anything. Feel free to ignore that promotion if you're uncomfortable doing it that way! Hope this helps and you have a great trip! Keep me posted. Thanks for watching the videos. I have many more Branson videos coming before your trip.

    Back in 2014 when I left there was so much to see and do. I lived there for 4 years and though I grew up in NYC which is now a dump, Branson always had NYC beat as far as I'm concerned ... be blessed

      There is still a lot to see and do in Branson. It is changing to a family destination with lots of attractions and not as many shows. Thanks for watching!

      There are many chain restaurants in Branson now but there still are some really good local restaurants and delis. I love eating at those local places and supporting them. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    How is the parking there?

    • @findushere
      @findushere  Год назад

      Even with the traffic and numbers of people, the parking in Branson is generally no problem. Theaters and attractions have plenty of parking as do restaurants. The possible exception is downtown where you may need to park in the lots behind main street and the Landing where the main parking lots get pretty full especially on weekends and holidays. There is a paid parking garage available though as an option. Also if you go to Silver Dollar City on weekends or holidays, you may be parked in a remote lot pretty far away but they are serviced by trams. Hope this helps!
