MUSLIMS WERE WIDE SPREAD IN ALL ISLANDS AT THE TIME OF THE SPANIARD’S ARRIVAL. A SIMPLE EVIDENCE OF THAT IS THE TRADITION THAT WAS CARRIED OUT AND STILL BEING PRACTICED UNTIL NOW. THE CIRCUMCISION BY FILIPINO MEN. INDEED, A RITUAL AND HYGIENIC PRACTICE BY MUSLIM MEN AND NOT FROM CATHOLICISM.
THE LITERAL MEANING OF MOORS OR MORO IS BLACK AND BECAME SYNONYMOUS WITH MUSLIMS.

bro, your infos are wrong,black africans are not the moors,the moors refers to the citizens of the kingdom of mauritania (an old name of today's morocco,the name has nothing to do with the current country of mauritania)+ the amazigh were the first to cross Gibraltar and conquer the iberian peninsula ,black africans has nothing to do with it + tariq ibn ziyad was not black nor arab,he was a moroccan amazigh ruling over the northern part of the country+ he went to iberia and conquer it without the knowing of the arabs...for the moors thing,even today other countries(Spain,Portugal,England,usa.....) still refer to moroccans as moors,specially spain and portugal.......after the reconquista and even when it started,the majority of muslims in iberia and jews went back to morocco,bc it is the country of the ancestors

Moro is just a definition or description of the people BUT it became SYNONYMOUS with “Muslims” as the Spaniards arrived to the pre-colonial Philippines. Watch it again as a whole 👍
