This, along with two other videos, was immensely helpful in fixing my Dell! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I spent hours trying to get this done, even with your help, but I ended up successful! So thanks again! The computer turned on, too! I'm using the AMD model, Inspiron 15 5576 which is almost indistinguishable from the 7559 model when it comes to how the case is put together.
Great video, thank you for taking the time to make it. While the laptop was apart I removed the bezel from the screen and loosened the bolts for each hinge making the screen easier to open and taking the stress off of the mount points that broke. I think the over tightening of these hinges when installed is the real issue. Amazon still carries the parts for these thankfully.
Hey there man, I'm considering doing the same thing. How did you loosen the hinges? I tried grabbing the bolt with some pliars but the hinge wouldn't budge! (took apart the whole laptop and just had the hinge in hand)
How on earth were you able to get the hinge loose? Could you tell me which tool you used?
I fixed my 7559 hinge problem after watching your video. Thanks bro!!!!
Nice work. A lot more involved than I thought it would be. Second guessing if I want to take this on now for my old 7559 with the same problem.
Good luck!
This happens because Dell overtightens their screws and under-lubricates the hinges. Loosening them a bit and lubricating the hinges can prevent this from happening again. 👍🏼
Which lubricant will you use???
@@nareshsapkota I assume a normal lubricant that you’d use for door hinges would be fine.
Thanks for the tip!
Duuuuuude just the video that i was looking for. Thanks a lot and regards from Colombia south america. Im waiting for the new house to come by, i also got the top part the one that comes behind the screen but im scare of that change hehehee.
I just got my housing and will be gearing up to make the change over the weekend.
Where did you order it from?
@@ShotbyEsco my friend the majority from eBay and I think that one part from Amazon. But they all came from China heheh but good quality.
I have the same problem. Thx for help! I was Looking for that type of video
Wlasnie tego szukalem! Dzieki!
Great video thank you. Shame it wouldn’t turn on after I’d put it all back together again 😂
So I will try again see what I might have missed…
Whete did you get the replacement?!
I have the same question
You can look up “Dell Inspiron 7559 base” or replace base with chassis or housing on Amazon.
How much money would it cost to repair a damage like this one?
What is the repair kit that we need?
Superb job but a number of questions
1. My model is the dell inspiron 15 5576. Is it the same process? I mean my computer and the one in the video are practically identical
2. Where can I buy the replacement parts for hinge repair?
3. I also need to put a new screen in this as well. Where might I find that
And last question, can I do it all for under $100?
Hi, process is similar, check ebay
I have the 5576, yes, I fixed it with help of this tutorial and cross-referenced with two others. Thankfully was successful with this overly involved process. For the parts, I bought it from eBay, lol! But the first one had the same issue, but the seller took returns, and also I got a new one from a separate seller on there. The screws and special yellow tape were also bought from eBay.
I don't know about the screen, but the above things cost me around $50. (20ish for the bottom case, 5-8ish for the tape, 5-10ish for new screws). Do know that I have all the tools and a repair set for electronics. If you don't have that then buying it will be an additional cost.
Thanks
can i change the screen of this laptop from LCD to IPS LED screen ??
What size bits does this take
Same problem in my laptop, the left hinge.
Price bta dijiye sir
Flawed design. Hinges with time put too much force to screws sets. Lacks redundant support in order to reinforce hinges, chassis and screen
