Same 😂 I had no idea till he told us yesterday, I was there and absolutely gutted 😢 only had a stick for the camera but they only allow it with a chest, wrist mount. I am REALLLY hoping Thorpe and Alton towers follow suit too 👏👏
Was getting a bit tired of the dragon, but the thrill of the turns going backwards is what I needed, absolutely perfect amount of thrill, speed and creativity for this place

We are visiting in May. Super excited to ride this!!! Edit: Rode this yesterday and we loved it! Also rode flight of the sky lion for the first time and it was amazing! Got my bobsandbits plushie on my bed 😊
I was excited to try this when we visited last Saturday but I didn't like it. It doesn't feel very fast or high, yet it rattled around and hurt my head. When we reached the midway point before it goes backwards, my feeling wasn't excitement or fear, but feeling slightly resigned to the second half of the ride. It looks and sounds so smooth from off the ride, I was really surprised. The theming felt half done. There's a bit where the riders split into teams and are assigned a Lego minifigure captain. Brilliant! But that's the beginning and end of that. There's no further connection that I could tell. I didn't even know who 'won' - which given the premise felt like something missing. There's no point where you feel ahead or behind - I've been on non-race themed dueling coasters where the sense of ahead or behind was clear. It's nice to get a modern coaster in the park but I felt like it missed its target - which I would define as 'the kids who ride The Dragon'. This one LOOKS like it's a big step up but I didn't think it was as exhilarating as The Dragon. In my group the kids were intimidated by this ride and didn't even want to try it. The more I think about it, the less it felt like minifigures racing in cars. On the plus side (but symptomatic of a problem) the queue was tiny compared with the other rides - it was shorter than The Dragon, the log flume, the pirate ship...pretty much anything. I know this is quite negative - I don't think it was awful. I would ride again if my kids changed their minds next time. But it lacked that wonderful 'family coaster' feel I was looking for - for me it's not as good as The Dragon or The Vampire (Chessington) or Hagrid's Bike Ride (Universal). It's better than the Flying Fish (Thorpe Park).
@@IWTBF Hello. Yes, I thought I was clear by putting 'LOOKS' in capitals. It LOOKS like it'll be a big step up from The Dragon. I suppose we're talking about expectation and how it didn't meet it. I took three 10 year old boys, one of whom cried after The Dragon - I'm not sure these anecdotes tell us much. Besides, I might have cried from the Minifigure Speedway from headache! Just my opinion. From the ground it looked high up, fast, smooth and exhilarating. After riding it I thought it was rough, boring and would recommend The Dragon over it.
tbh this ride is DRASTICALLY more intense than it looks, that first turn is basically a mini I305 with those sustained forces, falls off after that and the backwards is pretty head bangy but other than that good ride
Nice video, I experienced yesterday afternoon before ride & park closure, only got to experience "Legends". Intense on front row going backwards & non on going forwards. But good experience it was, on next visit will try & experience "All Stars" & maybe "Legends" again? But nice vlog, really enjoyed & look forward to more in future. 😀👍
Hi andy. I just realised you have not posted anything on your crane crazy channel for a while. Are you still a crane operator or has the channel just hit a dead end. I really enjoy your crane videos and miss the content.
So can you film on all the rides at legoland now or just speedway? Also do u have to ask for permission or can you just rock up with a camera and get on
That might be the case however one of the staff members did say you can on all rides all the time it’s just been relaxed more and they realise that there is a lot of RUclipsrs and influencers these days not to allow it as long as it’s safe to do so
Hi ! Would it be possible to use your video for my vlog? I did not have permission to film in the coaster. you will be mentioned in the video and the link will be put in the description. THANKS !
@@Coaster_Crazy Thats crazy, I had no idea, I remember meeting you that day, I didnt see a mount anywhere on you? You spoke to my dad about the speed and how they could make it faster, idk if u would remember
I don’t think they see how popular and helpful on ride POV’s are not just for the person filming them but for people who can’t ride and great for social media and promotional purposes
@@Coaster_Crazy TPW just replied to my comment and they say POVs were not allowed yesterday! Well done you for trying and getting away with it....rather than brown nosing the park so you get to see a building site once in a while!

The orange side always wins
Do u know if they allow wrist strap secured cameras, so I can record my face yknow.
I have a gopro and a wind thing, just need to know about what they do and do not allow, is it only for minifigure speedway or for anything else.
Yes I did both forward and rear facing povs with no issues as they said it was ok with a secure action camera only
Go on this before 13 which is at Alton Towers
I got stapled on there , still my fave ride
