they're hella expensive goddd but very worth it for me!!!! Bjds makes me happy, just taking them out, brush their hair, dress them is stress-free for me!!! sometimes I watched bjd boxing videos bc they're fun and like a therapy for me.
Ringdoll is one of my fave brands and hopefully i can own one someday (Dianxia) but they're super expensive T.T and they're really BIG but very BEAUTIFUL ahhhhh

Ahhh thank you so much!!!! They definitely were super expensive I had to save up for yearssss but so worth it! And I agree unboxing videos are very much like therapy and I’m so glad that you think of mine as one!! I'm new to the BJD hobby and I just got this one (I'm a TGCF doll collector so I plan on owning all of the TGCF BJDs eventually orz) but my BJD doesn't move like yours does strangely. I feel like it's strung too tightly? I don't have the problem of the torso separating from the legs but I haven't successfully popped his torso away from his hips or made him move side to side. It's a bit hard

It sounds like yours is just really tightly strung! I have a video on here for a Doll Family H body thats super tight and it took SO MUCH effort to get that torso piece to move, so that's pretty common.
People suggest stretching the elastic by crouching their dolls into a ball, tying something around them so he stays and then leaving them like that for a few days, although I haven't had any success with that method.
If the tightness really bothers you, I would just re-string him (Which is not as scary as it seems! Just takes a lot of strength and sometimes a second person) You could replace the elastic with a longer one, or just move the knot closer to the end to give it more length!
As for the standing up, mine can't stand great on his own either. Sometimes I can balance him just right for a photo, but he falls eventually 😅 So either use his stand (I have the Ring Doll one but there are many different ones) Or just lean him against the wall

Watching this since I’m considering buying the newer version of Xie Lian ring doll. But holy shit I didn’t expect him to be huge and have a lot of joint mobility for a doll 😭 How tall is he?

I’m getting the new one as well! (And selling this one so if you know anyone who’s interested send them my way lol) but yes he does have a lot of mobility and the new one is on the same body! Both this one and the new one are 68cm :)
