Luke!! It’s your cousin Maxine! I found your RUclips page and it’s awesome! I’m actually in Washington right now and got to do some hiking. I’ve been wanting to plan a trip to Canada and do some exploring up there. You seem like the right person to talk to about all of the best places to check out. Maybe we can link up and I could learn some stuff! I need to get your number!
Great video and great to see people getting out and exploring our mountains! Brings back great memories. Did the east ridge in late October, 2000 without the bugs. We climbed up the crux ridge but found the goat ledges that you mentioned on he way back down. We were hoofing it that day as we were worried about the short days. Tyroleaning the cable we went car to car in 8 hours with a long summit break and my partner Guy took the boat out from the Alpine club cabin for a quick spin. Such amazing mountains for being so close to Vancouver.
Hi Luke! Awesome video as usual! Do you post your adventures on social media platforms like Strava? I would love to see some of your adventures on there!
Thanks Doug! It was pretty chill at first, then we had to downclimb another steep exposed cliff section, after that just slopes of scree and heather (but long) back to the trail
Dang Luke looks like you had to do a couple spicy moves on that ridge. Looks like a blast though. Did you descend down a different route? Congrats on not only a challenging climb but also what looked like a super slow moving, tough approach.
Yep, I didn't even record the spiciest part, because I was not stopping to pull out a camera. We descended the west ridge which is less exposed, but still quite long
Sorry folks, Nina had to stay home for this one. She'll be back in the next though!
Deserves a good vacation
i whish i could escape from Germany +++ thanks for these gorgeous views
I stayed in the bowl across the lake and this place is such a special slice of heaven

GORGEOUS vistas!!!! You two are so cute to watch.
So freakin awesome! Ain’t gunna lie, some of the footage had my nerves rattling…..Acrophobia 😳
Sure is beautiful up there tho!
Amazing video! I'm still feeling anxious from watching the climb (great music choice!). I'll use your link soon for the camera :)
A brutal hike, but as always, the views are more than worth it!
You did a wonderful job capturing the exposure of the climb, that's hard to do on video!
Thanks Josh!
I still remember the first time I saw this mountain. May 1,1995. My first day in BC! I was in awe and took a million photos!
Luke Honnold here. I see what ya saying about the exposure, looks like solid holds.
holy shit dude that rock looks great
It is! Most of it is pretty solid, but one always has to be careful just in case something is loose.
Amazing place. I looked at the peak every time when I drove by sea to sky... Wish myself up there lol
It's a stunner to look at!
Hardcore insane!
Thanks for lugging us up and back!
Bryan from Vancouver
This is my passion! Thanks Bryan.

Hey Maxine, that's great to hear from you! You'll find my email on my about page and send me a message, then I can get your number!
Just incredible🌟Jeez Luke I would be so anxious about one of those rocks coming off as I am pulling myself up😰
That's why we were both very careful to test all holds before pulling or putting weight on them. That's best practice!
Lovely video Luke. 👍👍
Thanks, Jacques!

Hi Luke! Awesome video as usual! Do you post your adventures on social media platforms like Strava? I would love to see some of your adventures on there!
Thanks Collin! Nope, I don't have a gps watch, strava, garmin inreach device - none of those. I just go in raw
What a wild adventure! Such epic views. Where else in BC are you hoping to explore?
So amazing, what was the downclimb like on the other ridge?
Thanks Doug! It was pretty chill at first, then we had to downclimb another steep exposed cliff section, after that just slopes of scree and heather (but long) back to the trail
Wow! This was awesome!
Thanks Brandon!
Heyya Luke great content as always keep up the good work my man !! From a fellow BCer
That's so sick! I've had that lake on my list forever. Where did you park and put in?
Thanks, the access is about the 6km mark on the Squamish valley rd, which leads to the river and a water survey cable
@@lifeofluke perfect thank you!
Brotha quick question, what month in the summer did you did this one? Thanks
July
On the steep parts, easier to go up or down?
Easier to go up, for me

That's so beautiful, I want to try Dione this summer. Anyone know of a person with a boat in the area willing to take folks to the trailhead?
