"A Gundam Frame mobile suit piloted by one of the original Seven Stars, Arzona Issue, during the Calamity War. After the war, the Gundam Zagan was strictly managed by the Issue family for generations, and did not appear on the center stage until recent years. During the conflict regarding the next head of the Issue family, it was piloted by Londo Bron, who previously served as an elite guard for Carta Issue."

If the Issue Family has been the highest ranking Seven Stars family, then Zagan should have a high Mobile Armor count, maybe next to Bael , isn't it?

That Gjarllarhorn pilot just recently got into the pilot seat of the Gundam Zagan. The Gundam's intact but the pilot is possibly dead in significantly less than a day. By comparison, near the end of season one of Code Geass, Zero got the Gawain for less than a week before losing it. The Zagan's recent pilot has broken a new record for losing such a cool mech.
I'll blame the writers for that
let's be fair, Gawain is just a huge statue that blasts shit, sure it had it's moment when facing with orange but that's it, plus can you honestly see that thing being used in R2?
The way he wants to finished Hajiroboshi similar to how Kimaris Vidar using broken drill and pulls off the shield by throwing it to Bael

Gundam Zagan, the mobile-suit that represents the pride and might of the Issue Family of Gjallarhorn.
I wish that in IBO, Carta Issue had piloted this thing. That way, she would prove to be more than a match for the Gundam frames of Tekkadan, battling them to the bitter end of the first season of the show.
All of the Seven Star Gundam Frames should have deployed against Tekkadan to make the series more interesting.
The once Gundam Frames hag fought together in the Calamity War, are now fighting against their own brothers.
Then again, they don't have AV system Implant so they wouldn't bring the Gundam Frames full potential

The unit itself is intact given how this same lightning hits other units and operate fine.
During the gameplay fight Wistario and company cant really do much to Zagan so they choose to use the lightning produced by the Ahab reactor to either knock out or do something else to the pilot.
Given their importance they will probably come back during the second half, whenever the anime gets finished.

Zagan original armor was still intact till it got cook.
Just update its weaponry, armor and look.
