      They both a basically the same but the only difference is that stolons are slightly arched in shape where as runner are usually straight

      It is right it should be pepper mint in stolon but NCERT do not specify it , NCERT says it mint .

      I'm teaching according to NCERT. On page number 69 of class 11th NCERT there is a line says-"In plants like mint and jasmine a slender lateral branch arises from the base of the main axis and after growing aerially for some time archs downwards to touch the ground". Here it means stolon. I hope it is clear to you🙂🙂

    Then only at the point where the stem touches the soil, roots plants will grow. But In offset, the root isn't attached to the soil, so isn't it difficult to have minerals?

    The main stem is little deep underground then from that main stem some new branches will appear they will grow in side the soil for sometime after some time they will grow out side of the soil .

    Is Rhizome and Sucker same?? beacuse i found the Banana as an example in both sucker n rhizome..

      Rhizomes are underground stem modification while Sucker is sub-aerial stem modification these both type of modifications can be seen in banana.

      Not same, we can say "a runner is a kind of stolon" on the basis of their growing pattern but they show some differences which i have told in video . They are no exactly same , they share similarities
