    I think your cycle is on there backwards. The front tire goes down below frame and is captured by the screw in holders and pinned through the spokes

    Did you notice that the tabs closest to the Hitch are shown differently in the instructions?
    You installed them exactly as shown in the step-by-step instructions however, when you look at the picture in the loading section of the instructions, the tabs are facing up, not down. Makes more sense to be facing up. It’s just conflicting instructions from whoever wrote them.

      I just noticed that. Also it doesn't show the stabilizers on figure e.

    These carriers can also be installed on the front of the truck

    I would imagine that hanging that weight (about 500 lbs in total) off the back of your truck has got to make the rear of the truck wallow quit a bit.

      You definitely know it's there, but overall not bad.

      A CR250 is about 240 lbs and the carrier is about 50 lbs so the load is about 300 lbs.

    Thanks for the video. Where do you get the handle bar tie downs?

    • @AdamzGarage
      @AdamzGarage  2 года назад

      Np, hope the video helped. I got those straps from ebay, there like $12 for 6 of them. Amazon has them as well.

    Got the same carrier. We have a lot of bouncing around coming from the bike. Seems secure, but im not sure i trust going far with it. Is it possibly something im doing wrong? Also, is it pushing your suspension way down?

    • @AdamzGarage
      @AdamzGarage  2 года назад

      Yeah it definitely bounces around a bit. I think just because all of the weight is concentrated on the hitch. But haven't had any issues yet with anything loosening or breaking 🤞. I haven't had any issues with the suspension being pushed down. All and all not bad for the price, but I agree I wouldn't go across country with it...lol.

      Ok thank you for the response! I think were gonna try a few different alterations to our tie down and see if it helps any based on how you showed the straps. Our tires arent quite fitting how we like, but it may be that we have the big wheel.

    Just curious. Every other video I’ve watched on this hitch loads the bike the with the front wheel on the end with the clamps just the opposite of how you have it.

    • @AdamzGarage
      @AdamzGarage  5 лет назад +3

      Yeah, I noticed that as well. I just happen to load it that way because of the way my truck was parked in my driveway. ( Had no access the other way) . Honestly it probably makes more sense to mobilize the front tire with the clamps. But I had no issues the way I did it. Everything stayed tight. Great question...thanks.

      Oddly that’s exactly what I did with mine installed bike with front tire into clamp... as picture showed.. and I almost returned the carrier...until I seen your video..thanks man.. I am going to go outside right now and strap and load like you did!! Great video I am considering reinforcing the stinger portion with a sleeve over it and stick a few bolts in it and add a gas can carrier so I don’t have to smell gas in my SUV

    I bought one of these and am very disappointed. It is going back to Harbor freight.
    It is nothing fancy. You have to depend on a bunch of bungie cords and straps to stabilize the bike. And a few pins that there is for the rims is nothing but for manufacturers cove your tail type of design. You can build this from a c channel and a hitch for the fraction of the price.

    • @lelenbates3367
      @lelenbates3367 3 месяца назад

      But it is mostly aluminum and your should never use a bungie cord to tie anything down. Camming bike tie downs have a 1200 lbs rating and don't slip. I still have a pair of Ancras that are from the late 80's that are fuzzy, but still work. What do you plan to secure the bike with? If you think channel alone will hold a motorcycle you are in for an expensive lesson. In 2024 look at the price of steel and you cannot make a heavy steel carrier plus all the bolts for the 2024 price of $169. The local steel sales places have a minimum steel order of $200-300 depending on the place and refuse to cut long lengths to sell you a section of it.

    How is it holding up and is it easy for one person to use? Nice cr check out mine on my channel

    • @AdamzGarage
      @AdamzGarage  4 года назад

      It's actually holding up good. We're hoping to use it soon, my son is itching to ride, we used it alot last season. One person can definitely get it up the ramp, 2 is easier, but I've done it myself a few times. ill check out your channel .👍
