The fun thing about hitman is that the npcs don’t respawn. So once you kill everyone, you just have a whole big map to explore without worrying of getting killed or something.
This is like when your parents are out for the night and you get to do whatever you want. Just 47 eating mcdonalds and stealing booze in his big brand new mansion

The question is: Who is the real psychopath? The character ingame, or the player who kills a bunch of civilians for his own enjoyment? It's probably just our morbid fascination. We all enjoy a bit of macabre every now and then, without neccessarily being a psychopath.
