when i visited magic kingdom in may and went over to tiana's bayou adventure to get a picture in front of the walls because the one we took last year was much different, i pointed out the music was different without thinking about the soundtrack of frontierland (it had an acoustic guitar and not a banjo in it)
On my last visit to 'World' with my daughter in 2006, she talked me into forgoing the fireworks and we rode Splash Mountain as a walk-on 5 or 6 times in a row. We were thoroughly soaked by the end, but what of that? We did get to see some of the fireworks in the elevated outdoor portion of the ride. I have since made 3 solo trips to the 'World' [still lots of fun, although some bittersweet memories occasionally bubble to the surface] and in 2021 'Papa' was invited to join the now 'Kalifornia Kids' for a first class vacation [on them, gratitude!] to Disneyland in Anaheim. My only visit to the West Coast (so far). And yes, my Son-in-law and I rode their Splash Mountain; getting wet on rides turns out to no longer be as much fun for an old far..., ehr, dude. It was little granddaughter's nap time and the girls had gone back to the hotel before rejoining us for an early dinner and more late park time.
Wow doesn’t this look fabulous? I love the lush southern feel to it - the detail is amazing as you say. Thx so much for filling this in 4K - it really brings out all the detail and with the train going by it’s like we are there with you!
Ride looks nice, just doesn't make much sense to have a mountain drop ride in the Bayou . I also don't believe the songs will be as good as what Splash Mountain had . Will see if I change my mind once it opens .
Well, it’s not presented as a mountain, there are a few hilly areas in the Bayou, so the upper sides could have been smoothed out visually to create hills… I’m wondering if the idea of hills is being worked into the story.
Off topic but..Josh, any interest in searching for the final location of GARCO the Garrett Supply Corp robot Walt Disney used to promote his Mars and Beyond animated show? Thoughts? Thank you!
Thank you Josh! Loved all the details you pointed out. I will certainly enjoy that ride on my next DW trip! All the green is glorious! I did see the DisneyLand version and its looks awesome.
I've got 2 questions......1)Are they transforming "Splash Mountain" at Disneyland into Tiana's Bayou Adventure" also or is it just here at Disney World??🤔 And 2) Who is Tiana exactly?🤔 Is she a Disney character from a movie or something because I've never heard of her name before??🤔🤔 Thanks in advance for any answer to my questions!👍🏼🙂😃
1.) Yes, both versions of America are being transformed. 2.) Tiana is the main character of Disney’s 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. It’s one of Disney’s best animated films and it’s a must watch for any Disney fan. The ride serves as a sequel story to the film.
Princess and the Frog is definitely worth the watch! I saw it in theaters when I was 6 years old but as an adult it still resonates with beautiful animation, great world building, and a fantastic message. It’ll definitely improve your ride experience if you watch it before you ride.
The ride looks sad ngl. Splash Mountain's overall look and colors made it pop and it was super exciting. Now it feels sad and empty 🫤🫤 Also lacking characters on signage etc. Meh.
So excited for Tiana’s bayou adventure! The outside looks incredible and I imagine the ride will be just as awesome! 💚💛 And the new critters are so adorable 🥰
My initial reaction is that it looks fine. however, through the camera, the vegetation on the exterior makes the peak look lower to ground-level because it creates a less effective forced perspective. I'm sure it'll be a fun enough attraction.
What they should have done was invested the money to demolish and rebuild the core of the building so that it could support Momma Odie’s boat on top. It needs that weenie up there. Everything else is an okay/adequate change. But Splash Mountain was perfection right off the cartoon screen. This looks like something at Knotts Berry Farm or Cedar Point.
Only problem I see are all the rocks. There are no rocks like that in the MS delta or anywhere near New Orleans. If it was going to be an old salt mine, then why not make the rocks look like either salt or mud? The top swamp area looks great, but the area after the big drop should also be swamp, but instead it looks like a formal rock type wall. That's pretty, but it's not keeping with the theme. Rest looks great though.
It's not Disney's fault grown people make conspiracy theories about everything these days and complain about Disney ride rethemes. All they said was "this is what we're doing" and the Internet had and is still in the process of having a meltdown.
Josh, I love your little tidbits about backstage stuff, such as the landscaping! Great video!
They covered splash mountain in "go away green"
The exterior looks like the set for Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Wow that looks great. Really like all the landscaping.
This is Disney. Those two frogs probably ARE watching you.
Thanks for a beautiful preview of the new ride and on such a beautiful day! Excited to ride when I'm next in the MK! 😊
when you were ner the Bayou sign, looked like there was a rock formation in shape of a turtle

Looks very well done and picturesque. Thanks for sharing this with us Josh. Can't wait to check it out and go for a ride.
Disney Parks channel just released an fpv video of the ride!
This actually looks pretty good also I believe that Splash Mountain had the water wheel at both Disneyland and Disney World

Did they completely remove the big side splashes from the drop? looks like it could cause complications with the new exterior decor
As much as I loved splash mountain, I think I prefer the look of the bayou theme! The green is so beautiful
Broccoli hill!

There’s literally animals that talk cmon guy
I think you're over analysing it.

The music in New Orleans is amazing. I’m sure the music will be great
This was awesome! So beautiful 🤩
this sucks
Off topic but..Josh, any interest in searching for the final location of GARCO the Garrett Supply Corp robot Walt Disney used to promote his Mars and Beyond animated show? Thoughts? Thank you!
Thanks Josh. It truly looks amazing. I can’t wait to see and ride it in person. Thanks for all you do for us.😊
Was the water always poop brown?
Yes actually. Water in Disney attractions is always dyed to cover up underwater ride mechanics and add to the theming.
It’s beautiful! I can’t wait! Splash mountain was fun but it was really outdated.
Splash Mountain is better Tiana's Go Woke go broke adventure sucksass
Thank you Josh! Loved all the details you pointed out. I will certainly enjoy that ride on my next DW trip! All the green is glorious! I did see the DisneyLand version and its looks awesome.
Nice josh
Do you think in the future you could do a side by side of this and Splash Mountain to really enjoy the differences?😊
It's beautiful, thanks for showing us, Josh!
Looks beautiful! Looking forward to seeing you ride it. Thanks, Josh! ❤
It's still called Splash Mountain! Lol 😂
it’s actually called tiana’s bayou adventure! hope this helps ❤
The ride is a massive lost opportunity.
Kinda looks like splash mountain to me.

Best? Lol 😂
@@FloridaTravelers6794never saw the movie, so I guess I won't fully understand the ride/characters, lol
Princess and the Frog is definitely worth the watch! I saw it in theaters when I was 6 years old but as an adult it still resonates with beautiful animation, great world building, and a fantastic message. It’ll definitely improve your ride experience if you watch it before you ride.

We’ll be there in 59 days and I am so excited to see this. Splash mountain was my favorite but I do love The Princess and the Frog.
So excited for Tiana’s bayou adventure! The outside looks incredible and I imagine the ride will be just as awesome! 💚💛 And the new critters are so adorable 🥰
not this still sucks
Great video Josh!
That sign is gorgeous!
I’m deeply excited for Bayou Mountain’s California opening
This looks so good. They really nailed the look of a bayou!
not
Great coverage Josh. Look forward to the opening.
Awesome 👌

I noticed the same thing.
SUS! bring back splash mountain!
No I love this one don’t judge by its cover
Will the Fox still threaten to marry Ryan's dad?
Than you Josh!
Thanks Josh!
This is AMAZING

This ride is more controversial now than it was when it was Splash Mountain! Maybe they should have named it Controversial Mountain? Lol 😂
lol
It's not Disney's fault grown people make conspiracy theories about everything these days and complain about Disney ride rethemes. All they said was "this is what we're doing" and the Internet had and is still in the process of having a meltdown.
Yep, I agree! There were definitely a lot of conspiracy theories about Splash Mountain. Lol 😂
grow up
Splash Mountain was never really controversial until Disney forced it to be when they announced the retheme
Looks great Josh. I look forward to enjoying it through your streams!
this stlll sucks
Ya I do
🐸🐸🐸
❤❤❤❤❤❤
This looks amazing! I love it!
not splash Mountain is better this retheme ride sucks
Looks nice, can’t wait to see the inside…
I wish that section could be rethemed to New Orleans Square
yes i agree this would have made a lot more sense too if they build a New Orleans Square Themed land and put Tiana's bayou Adventure😡
