When you cement the pipe to a fitting give it a quarter turn once it’s pushed together. The primer melts the pvc and cement sticks to itself. You’re basically chemically welding them together, and the turn helps the plastic fill and close gaps in between

One hint.. on the PVC pipe kit, ensure you please Teflon tape on the screw cap to make sure it is sealed air & water tight.
