FOLEY'S LeadBASS in this video is the one that he used for recording "GUMBO" & "SO FINE" solos on MINT CONDITION's CD "From the Mint Factory"

I built my own 15 years ago from a short scale bass and installed an 18 volt pickup booster circuit. It doesn't have a whammy bar though. It would be cool to buy a real lead bass

No way...I really just bumped into a piece of musical history. First of all I'm grateful to have been familiar with Foley through Miles Davis since I was a kid. Around the same time, I pretty much wore out my uncle's "From the Mint Factory" CD and to this day, 'Gumbo' is my favorite interlude of ALL TIME. That interlude would not be what it is w/o that memorable solo. TBH I thought it was Mint's guitar player O'Dell on those solos until just a few years ago, and I absolutely tripped out. This is a super amazing moment and means a lot for me to see the bass that was used for those solos. Glad to see this legend still putting in work. Thanks for posting!!

Foley, When I first heard you play on the Miles Davis Album 'Amandla' I could hear the genius in those solos. Í tried to copy them on my Ibanez 'Joe Pass' and to this day I can remember them note for note. Looking forward to more videos like this with you improvising.
