      Simple explanation: the first note is C if you play it all in C Major. (Thus, the first two notes would be C, then up a fourth to F.)
      Complicated explanation: This is in Fa clef. The Fa clef is the three squares surrounding the second line down. That means that line is Fa. So the opening notes are Do then Fa. Put it in whatever key you like, since chant notation only does relative pitch.
