Growing tomatoes outside in my climate is very tricky. It was the main reason for getting a greenhouse. After ordering mine in January, I discovered your channel, looking for layout ideas and greenhouse growing tips. After 20 years of dreaming, my greenhouse was delivered today! Thank you so much for your videos!

I'm in Norway and we have generally short seasons. Last summer was the first time ever I had actual results with my tomato plants. I had things to pick at the end of the season. Yes, I ripened a lot of it fully indoors in a paper bag under a grow light, but they really responded to warmth and became red. It was glorious!

Did a lot of cherry tomatoes last year and doing the same plus beef tomatoes this year. Can't beat the taste. Made lovely soup with the glut I grew last year!

Absolutely brilliant explanation Eli, thanks. I’ve been doing it a couple of years but learned so much that has explained why I’ve had mixed results so far - for example, I learned that planting indeterminate outside in Manchester temperatures is probably why I’ve had a low yield so far! 😂

Hi Eli, This is only my second year grown tomatoes. Last years crop was great with your tips, so I’m trying a few different varieties this time🤞🏼But What is the best/ safest greenfly repellent, please I had some trouble with the wee blighters 🙈😁
It all depends what you mean by best and safest… everyone’s views are different. In all honesty nothing completely works 100% Instead I just deal with the beasties, either squish, blast off with the hose or spray with soap

Hi Eli and Kate. I followed your recommendation, thank you, and have grown Marmande (supraprecore or something similar!) tom's this year. Or trusses on the plant? Or both or neither? And have you found that the fruiting branches need support? Advice will be gratefully received.
