Keane never lost the ball and always passed forward and made sure everyone did. We were always attacking in a exciting way. Now its all systems and most teams try and play the same and all players are athletes rather then having football brains and they are told how to play and have 'plays' set up ready like in American sports. Players have no personality anymore. Look at Grealish who i cant stand but at Villa he played with freedom now hes just a cog in a machine doing exact same things that any player would do in his position under Pep. The bubble is going to burst on the premiership soon like it did in Italy, people will get fed up especially with the saudis

@@vinnysamways63 His one-touch play was great (set a high tempo), very clever in picking someone for his deliveries, excellent shooting technique, wonderful touch, could head the ball, was strong, excellent movement, great work rate, cold play… Just a great player.

@@alvaroproanoaviles5293 Total flim flam. He was a one trick pony. Couldn't head, tackle and had no pace.

@@vinnysamways63I can see you really dislike the guy. Well, if there’s something emotional involved, I won’t be able to persuade you to give him any chance…
But, in addition to acknowledging the fact that he wasn’t the perfect player, I’ll give you a piece of worthy advice:
      - Footballers are no FIFA cards.
It is: several attributes from a great player won’t be taken into account by marketing standards, the media.
Say: winning mentality, problem solving, simplification of the game, street wisdom, quick thinking, deceiving the rival, leadership… are all CRUCIAL aspects for a footballer to be really great. Beckham had those, in different measures; and while he wasn’t a dribbler or sprinter, as desired, he was great at what he was there for and a lot more.
      Football’s infinitely more than dribbling.

Solskjaer vision blocker was very helpful (and underrated) for Becks goal from that free kick

Scholes had a crazy good season playing in this role this season. He could do Lampard role all day long and do it better but he changed to a deeper role even so his stats are better

like always. if you give beckham a free kick chance with normal distance, you propably haven't even chance to save it. just my opinion.

Notice how second half Beckham sticking more to the right wing, obviously Ferguson gave him shit at half time as he didn't like him drifting like he did for England,he couldn't tackle so Ferguson quite rightly wanted him on the wing where he was best in world,it messed up England as well but everyone talks about the other three but Beckham wasthe problem

Beckham got axed by england after 06 then we failed to qualify in 08. In fact we almost qualified soley because of his return. I'm not saying beckham was perfect but he wasnt "the problem". We were getting run in midfield. Mangers didn't have the balls to drop one. Carrick should've played more
