Defenders: Save Schar for a future career mode, same with Nastasic. They will fit foreign clubs better where as Smalling is more realistic which I know you like.
Midfielder: Go for Carvalho preferably but all are good options, Rabiot also!
I'd also look into signing a striker if you have funds left over, a third proper striker would do the squad good for rotation, as I image you'll play Sanchez out wide :)

Signed Carvalho myself at Chelsea and he's SO good in that holding role! Schar you already know about and that's a safe bet for a CB, think City will ask too much for Nastasic tbh. Definitely get Rabiot, he'll do wonders for you in the Champions League etc!

In real life transfers aren't this easy. You think United and City will let Smalling and Nastasic go to Arsenal just because Wenger wanted them?
Edi Malo I doubt man utd would let smalling leave as he is a first team player but nastasic is not impossible seeing as man city already have demichellis, kompany and mangala ahead of him.

A defender you should consider is Aymeric Laporte from Bilbao, he is 20 years old, 81 rated and has an 88 potential, gotta have him! Definitely someone i'm looking to sign i my Arsenal career mode! :)

Good video anyways, it's preloaded for me so I'm just waiting for a few more hours.
Shit is actually a very good thing. If there would be no shit alot of bad things would happen.
A few things that I experienced during my career (as a rather bad player):
- the game against the AI is easier in my opinion. I play now on "professional" and I'm playing for the championship in Germany as Gladbach. In FIFA 14 I had really problems even creating chances on "professional", in FIFA 15 I don't have many problems. So you might test around a bit with the difficulty before you settle for one.
- Stamina seems to deplete substantially slower, than it did in FIFA 14 and it seems to regenerate quicker as well, so you probably don't need to look for high stamina players that much. As Gladbach I play in the league, the German cup and the EL and I have players (like my left-back) who have to play almost every game.
- The way defending now works means, that injuries and cards are much more common (at least in my games), than they were in FIFA 14, because sliding-tackles are much more effective, than the normal one, but of course have a higher chance for injuries and cards, so keep in mind, that you need enough alternatives in your team, if players drop out for a couple of weeks
- Young talents seem to be much more expansive, than they were in FIFA 14. Real Madrid wanted almost 20 million € for Varane, and Thielemans was also supposed to cost 16,5 million, at least during the first transfer window of the career. "Hidden Gems" are still cheap enough though.
So...can't think of anything else at the moment, that might be important at the beginning of a new career. I hope you read this. ;)
Matt you should get the CB Laporte from the Liga BBVA, he's 20 years old 81 rated and he's french his potential is 86. he's amazing.
in career mode you can make custom formations matt and you can adjust the workrates for each position of your team

lars is actually really good as a stay at home CDM i use him with the "stay back while attacking" instruction in a 4-2-3-1 and he works really well. his 86 interceptions and tackling are really good he doesn't need to muscle his way through anything
Bring in Memphis Depay for the left side, great potential around 88, and still a good player for your squad right now!

I'd go with Schär and Carvalgo OR Schneiderlein. Realistic, not too expensive and great player with potentiel.

It's fair. Sterling is good now but doesn't seem like he'll be that good in the future. He'll be one of England's best players but that's not really saying much. Januzaj will most likely be world class in the future and could win the World Cup with Belgium alongside players like Lestienne, De Bruyne, Hazard, Hazard, Courtois, Alderweireld etc.
Ginter (CB) in January. He goes to 88 at the age of 26-27 in Fifa 14. He's a beast!

Gonna do an Arsenal Career mode as well. Who should I pick at CDM? Carvalho or Schneiderlin? I know Carvalho could be cheaper, and is younger and much stronger. But Schneiderlin is faster, and in this year's FIFA, it seems that pace is once again more important than strength (completely opposite of last year). I want a fully mobile defensive midfielder that could break up attacks and soak up pressure like an extra Center Back.
I was going to say Leon Goretzka. But Arsenal already have enough RMs. Though, he played CDM sometimes on 14.
William Carvalho!!! As a Sporting and Arsenal fan myself, I would be so chuffed with that signing. It would certainly make me watch this series without excuse!
Matt, please consider Giovinco. On 14 he was a squad rotation player and whilst he is small, he has good stamina and good speed. Also you can usually sign him for around 7m at least on 14
You can try Samuel Umtiti from Lyon. I sign him when I was playing in FIFA 14 and in FIFA 15 I still sign him to be part of my team. He got pace and will definitely be very quick to defends the ball away from the opponent or chase down quick pace striker.
I'd say you need some sort of back up striker still. I think you got Sanogo and Welbeck at the moment right?
You could potentially look at Ciro Immobile, Seydou Doumbia or Sebastian Giovinco - been linked with Arsenal. Pretty good strikers in my opinion, they shouldn't be that expensive as well.

Agree with Carvalho and Rabiot but maybe someone else than Smalling, rather someone to back up Koscioney (Sorry for spelling) or plays as a steady CB who will just stay back in defence without pushing up

Can you PLEASE turn the transfer window off when you start your career mode because all teams have already do there job in the market and i think it would be more interesting and realistic because you would see where this team is lacking quality and you could improve that in the future. :) PLEASE MGH! about your signings: forget every defender you just named except for Schär (get him...) and buy Aymeric Laporte, trust me on that one (and he is left footed). For the CDM position get Sven Bender. With those 3 signings, you're basically done.
Schneiderlin definitely, signed him and he's a tank. Then I'd also go for a defender, or forty, Umtiti is a good buy, as well as Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad who's been incredible for me. In terms of a semi cheap striker who can also grow, Alcacer from Valencia is solid (y)

Play this career like Wenger in real life and mostly buy young talents and develope them. Also have at least 5-8 English players with over 20 league games each to keep the English identity.
I think you should buy players in the winter transfer window instead of at the start of the career mode. Technically this is the squad Arsenal must use in real life, and they will have to wait to buy players again till january. So if you want realism you should start of with the current squad!
Do not get Smalling. Yes he was linked with a move in real life after the Vermalaen saga but if you're gonna play him RB then it is just suicide, bad curve and crossing and his speed and ball control are not as good as his stats make out to be. You already have Chambers and Debuchy to Replace Sagna. Strengthen your left side and replace Vermalaen by signing Nastasic, it is Ideal in my opinion. Just Imagine the potential on Chambers and Nastasic instead of 81 rated 24 year-old Smalling

Please don't get Smalling hes muck! You should defiantly get Carvalho I got him for a United career mode and he's insane, he really controls a game. Good luck on the career mode pal.

I got Rabiot for 6mil because Wilshere got injured on the last week of the transfer window and this guy has been on my first 11 ever since he definitely feels stronger than his stats says and his passes are pretty good too.
I so wanted the Vanrama Premier added to the Career Mode this season, ah well I reckon it may be added with the North and South before long.
I’m surprised you overlooked someone like Yann M’vila, he’s on loan at Inter but I think he could be the perfect CDM for you to pick up at the start of season 2 :)
You should start with the transfer window closed, it's actually pretty fun considering in real life teams are already set.
I think you should go for shar and nastasic or smalling but you should definitely sign shar
Now in terms of CDM both carvalho and rabiot are amazing but I think you could go(if you want of course)a first team player to replace santi cazorla cause he's getting old and you should try to sign a striker like yilmaz at last's year arsenal career

Yo guys, potential isn't always right on futhead or futwiz, I was athletic Madrid on fifa 14 I signed Vidal and his potential was 88/89 and he got all the way up to 92 so sometimes it's not always right!
You should see Matip from Schalke and Kramer from B. Mönchengladbach!! But Carvalho will be an amazing CDM
get Kalidou Koulibaly, hes 6ft 6inches, hes like a 76 ovr, hes great at heading, jumping, tackling, everything defensive wise and i think hes only like 4 or 5 million

Leandro Castan would be a good option at CB, cause he is left-sided, and already at a very good overall of 81. Or maybe someone like Inigo Martinez.

You should go for Sven Bender rather than Lars Bender. Sven is the CDM for Borussia Dortmund and is really solid stat wise.
I like people who do realistic career modes, makes it much more interesting than people who just go around and say yeah lets get ronaldo and messi
sign schar! got him in my Liverpool career mode and he's very good and cheap, only spent 4.200 million pounds, absolute steal!
Possibly go in for a striker - such as paco alcacer or possibly Peterson from SV werder bremen

bazoer, el gahzi, kishna, becker all good youngsters from ajax which YOU NEED TO LOOK AT
You could also try and buy Salih Uçan. He is a more offensive player but has good potential!
Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad would be a perfect replacement for BFG, Gustavo for DM

there's this defender that plays for atletico bilbao in the liga bbva and he is 20 or 22 years of age and has a 82 overall, but i dont know his potential but he is really good.

Sven would be better of the Bender brothers, he's got much better defending stats
Matić would be great(82, 85 potential, 90 stamina, 84 strength), but not very realistic imo
Krychowiak-79, 83 potential, 91(!) strength, 83 stamina, good defending and passing, although he just transferred so uoi'd have to wait till January
CB:
Kongolo-74, 83 potential, 78 pace already
Inigo Martinez-80, 86 potential
Buy Nastasic and Carvalho! Then in January sign Khedira on pre contract if you can, and Rabiot cheap! Second season if you couldn't get khedira, buy Morgan, and a world class striker like, Benzema??
Go for Chelsea's Ramires, he can play as CDM, CM and RM. He is very solid, fast, has high stamina.... Just saying.
Use Schar, not Smalling or Nastatic, since you want to keep it realistic. Rival clubs would never sell to us
I have no idea why Khedira's defensive stats are so high, he's a box to box type player much like ramsey, without the passing or dribbling ability
You should disable first summer so Cavanni or some cb dosent move to make it realistic and also make the correct groups for cl
I think you should sign a left sided player with pace as that's what I think arsenal lack. I would love a good cb but not smalling as I think he's as useful as a pair of sunglasses on a guy with one ear. Also can you please play Joel Campbell
What about Axel Witsel Matt? He's been brilliant in FIFA for years and was fantastic in my career mode in FIFA 14
I agree with all of your targets except for Khedira, although he is a good player, I don't think he would fit the team. I also think you should look at Reus, Gundogan, Griezman (Wrong spelling) and maybe Alaba for left back. Can't wait for this career mode to start!!

Get Shaqiri. In fifa 14 i had him at 91 overall at 24, he was 80 at start. Bought him for 16 million euros at that time.
