Wow! This is THE MOST HONEST, clean and precise rabbit presentation I've heard in quite a while. Thank you, Bryan, for tackling and debunking the rabbit holy grails and for supporting small-herd rabbitries! I was encouraged and re-energized. This video should be shown to EVERY new rabbit breeder in the ARBA. Keep up the good work, guys!
We had less than 20 rabbits during 2023 Convention, took 4 rabbits to get comments on and ended up with two Sn does taking 3rd & 6th place. It really helped me feel confident with the quailty of stock I have to work with.
We've had Bryan several times in Shipshi, IN! He makes the youth part of showing fun! We're a small herd so this helps us a lot and I agree with a lot of this! This whole presentation was amazing! Thank you so much for your time, Byran! We hope to see you in March!
I really admire your dedication and knowledge to the hobby. We are a small Rabbitry and these are factors that come into play for us. It was great having you judge our Angoras and Hollands at the Burford show in Ontario last weekend! Thank you for taking the time to judge my very first Champagne d'argent after the show. And can't agree more that your rabbits are a reflection of you.
A lot of what he is saying took me 9 years to figure out. I try to keep my does down to 6-7....one breed with 3 somewhat compatable colors. I have about the same number of holes as he does. I try to set a yearly goal to concentrate on. And I don't show unless I have something worth while. I often show up with only 2 rabbits when i do go (less rabbits in quaranteen and less entry fees). I do try to breed for specific shows, and if nothing works out, oh well. I bring in a new buck or 2 maybe every 2-3 years....because it takes a while to blend something in. What they say that 20% of your rabbits produce 80% your keepers.....its true. Every year I track who shows up on everyone's pedigrees on the year's breeders. I can really see everything converging onto just a handful of ancestors.
@@TheRabbitShow I was looking forward to meeting Brian as a fellow CD breeder. However I didn't have anything to show when he came down to NC, so we missed that show.
I have 5 rabbits and think 30 is too many, haha! Looking forward to showing soon. I know I won't win, but hopefully it'll tell me what I need to improve.
Thank you Bryan.. for doing this. I agree with you 100% on depth on body on pictures and facebook. Its is VERY rare to have a deep rabbit that is balanced. The only time I see a SUPER deep rabbit and has a nice well rounded body and nice fur that is a Best in Show rabbit or Best of Breed rabbit at the Nationals.
Absolutely! Her rabbits got me my start. I bought a pair from Nikki Lee's Rabbitry when they decided not to go into BEWs after all. I've learned a ton from the knowledge Berlena shares and I've visited her rabbitry. A true example of a well run small rabbitry.
We’ve been to ARBA Convention, West Coast Classic, PaSRBA, The Christmas Show and Michigan State Convention. We will be at Ohio Mini-Convention in May. What shows should we be at?

This is so encouraging. As someone with a very small barn myself, I found this incredibly helpful.
🎉 thanks for doing this, and sharing it!
Bryan did a great job explaining it!
So accurate. I appreciate this as a small hobbyist.
I LOVE BRYAN!! 😂 Fantastic presentation!

Very good video! Wish he was my neighbor!
Really really helpful and informative. My daughter and I took a lot out if this. Thank you for your time and sharing of knowledge!

Thank you! I needed this today!
Happy to help! Bryan did a great job teaching!

What’s the next topic you want to learn about Paul?
Great info! Learned a lot for my small herd. BEW Mini Rex project.
Have you seen the Blue Eyed White Mini Rex video from Berlena Reynolds? ruclips.net/video/W9ON5Qpl97M/видео.htmlsi=QvjrvAuVABOUnXmI

What rabbit shows do you come set up the rabbit show booth at?
We’ve been to ARBA Convention, West Coast Classic, PaSRBA, The Christmas Show and Michigan State Convention. We will be at Ohio Mini-Convention in May. What shows should we be at?
@@TheRabbitShow I mainly show in Indiana and Ohio, you should be at spring Forward in Springfield, and rabbit fest
We will be at Michigan State Convention this weekend
