Kate Thanks so much for this! The addition of the 3 closure connections on both sides here is almost the most important part of this tutorial/design exercise. Connections are so vital and important in making a real finished necklace! They make everything really work….
@@KateRichbourg I have watched you adding those 6 final closures 3 times now. I am in awe of your steely, calm resolve! Coming down to the time limit, no time to spare, but you added those 6 closures with such resolve and grace, like a walk in the park! I always get nervous at that point. And I often _do not_ clip off the extra soft flex. I slip it into the beads where it _does sneak out_ and *scratch* me! Bravo!
Kate. At this point, you are wondering why you are so nostalgic. Let me tell you. It's a divine plan, (Thanks again for your help with my order this week!) #1 This is a dream come true, to sit here beading while you are beading and hear your process as you pick beads and where to put them, it's mirroring what I've enjoyed so much about beading! #2 I lived in Silicon Valley from 81-86. I lived all over Mountain view, Palo Alto are and freelanced secretarial work at the computer companies as the pc was being birthed! I returned to Atlanta and worked at a bead store, Beadworks by Shoshanna, you may have known her. I LOVED hearing you speak of all the different kinds of beads your store had. Hers did as well. She put them in little saucers for people to pick from, vintage, trade beads, the coolest stuff. Finding you and the site is the closest I've come to that, with the variety you offer. Remember I said I dropped beading after that and have just now taken it back up (sorry for writing a book here, te he) I loved hearing you talk about tiger tail and how much better soft flex is. See, I didn't know! So, all of this, plus, hearing about you leaving Apple and all the experience you have! I just have so much more confidence and respect for what ya'll have created here!!!! And, now I know who Janice is! So.... thank you!! You said, so far, everything I needed to hear!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Thank you!!!
oh such a gorgeous piece. i can't believe i missed the party. oh well hopefully there will be another one. you look smashing in the piece. it's perfect for you.
All day FridayI was working on a 3 stranger necklace. I am trying to make it so that a person can wear all 3 strands at a time or individually. Optional wear...
