Holy Week: Good Friday

Continuing in the Holy Triduum, we find ourselves now in the sorrow of Good Friday. Today, Fr. Jeff encourages us to allow ourselves to sit in the discomfort of Good Friday and not rush right to the joy of Easter, and to join with Mary in her sorrow for her suffering Son.
We encourage your place a crucifix in a prominent place in your home today and venerate it (kiss it, kneel before it, genuflect, etc.), as well as to foster silence in your homes from 12-3pm - the time that Our Lord hung on the Cross. Put away your technology, music, TV, etc, with the exception of streaming the Noon service, and enter more fully into Our Lord’s Passion.
