    For me it’s the location!! I visit Vegas very often and have stayed at “luxury” rooms but honestly, when I’m in Vegas, I only use the room to get ready and sleep, 80% of the time I’m out having fun, so for me the flamingos location price and decent accommodations, is a no-brainer, oh and it’s PINK!! 😍

      Thanks for watching and sharing! Totally agree, we have stayed in two story suites as well as 2 bedroom condos on the strip and still gravitate to the Flamingo and center strip. We have stayed at Flamingo so many times to remember and always have the BEST time!

    Been to vegas many times always stay at the flamingo. Best pro. You can walk right out on the strip from the casino. Boom you are there. You dont have to walk forever just to get to the strip.

    I’ve been to Vegas many times over the last 10 years, stayed at so many strip hotels. But I swear every trip when I’ve stayed at Flamingo has been the most fun. The location is beyond perfect, and you just can’t beat that classic Vegas vibe. The rooms are more than find and many have excellent strip views, especially for the price. The pool and habitat is also beautiful. Just love Flamingo.

    I have been coming to Vegas for years. I have stayed at the Flamingo a couple of times and it was amazing. You can’t beat the location!! it’s right in the middle of the strip and everything you need is so close. The strip view high roller room we stayed in was very nice! Completely updated and excellent views of the strip. 10/10

    You guys continue to impress me with more information that I was unaware of. Didn’t know about the monorail, didn’t know about Wayne Newton no longer at Caesars Cleopatra’s Barge. Have not stayed at flamingo in probably 20 years, usually stay at Caesars or Paris. You mentioned staying in a mini suite, Flamingo receptive to free room upgrade requests? Bugsy’s….so so. I hear they’re just doing OK, apparently no one wants to have a fine dine at the Flamingo-
    Thanks again for the video…

    • @NinthIslandConnection
      @NinthIslandConnection  2 года назад

      Hi Tony, Thanks for watching and the kind words. I totally agree with you on Bugsy and Myers, seems out of place at Flamingo. With Diamond they are supposed to upgrade you to the best available room that is available upon check in. We have noticed though that they haven't unless we asked. So I just ask if they have any available complimentary upgrades and have received one every time. The Barge at Caesars has yet to reopen. There is a lot of construction happening at Caesars though so maybe they have other plans for that location. Aloha, Sebastian

    As a Caesars Diamond, I have stayed at LINQ and Harrahs, but my last 3 visits have been to Flamingo. I don't spend much time in the room, and the view doesn't much matter. Nor does the pool. But I spend more time at Caesars Palace, and the convenience of walkways is a plus. Parking has been quite easy when I have a rental car, but exiting the garage takes a lot of turns; Harrah has easier parking, but the garage is a lot further from the casino. About half the rooms have been redone, but covid put a halt to the renovations. With mid-week stays and no resort fees I've been paying around $10/night. I also get my daily exercise by walking to Ellis Island and back for breakfast, and the Stage Door dive bar is an easy walk for a late night hotdog and beer. I also visit the Bellagio lobby for their seasonal swap over in the conservatory, which is a close by walk as well.

    We are Mlife Gold and usually stay at those properties. We do have Caesars' also and did stay at the Flamingo last December for the 75th anniversary celebration, including the dinner party. It was fun. They comped us a Go room, nice with the refrigerator included. (Most Mlife don't have fridges, except for the overly expensive mini bar fridges). Con for us is the habitat odor is pretty bad at times. Didn't try the pool; closed for the winter season. Even though I am only Gold tier Caesar's, because I booked directly through my casino host he comp'ed me the resort fees; thats a perk normally for Diamond and above.

      Hi Stephen, Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience. We are Platinum with MGM because we have the Credit Card and use it for business expenses, but rarely stay at any of their properties. Home Sweet Home! I love the Flamingo. Best vibe on the strip. You can tell the Flamingo has a loyal base. I miss the buffet - I wish Ceasars bring this one back, and would pay more attention to this iconic property as far as updates, etc. This is a huge property, nearly 3,500 rooms, yet you don’t have to walk a mile to the elevators. One of the best pools in Las Vegas. If you want to have fun and feel like you are at the party, stay at the Flamingo.

    Hello Sebastian & Christine, Great review!! My name is Jack and reside in St. Petersburg, FL. I’m planning a 2 week stay in Las Vegas mid - November as I’ll be turning 70 y/y. I plan on staying 1 week at the Flamingo as it was my first visit there back in 1962 !! So, it’s kinda nostalgic to me. The second week I will be staying at the Cosmopolitan because I heard both of the hotels are great for partying. Thanks again for the review.

    I find Vegas very overwhelming in terms of planning where to stay, park, how to get around, pool etc. because I don't know it very well. So many factors and conflicting reviews (and not much money, which doesn't help, lol) so my head swirls. Great vid, thanks for sharing. I've always preferred the old Vegas properties. The Riviera was always my go to hotel/casino until it closed and was demolished. Now, it's the Flamingo. I enjoy it, the location and history. Some of the rooms decor isn't something I care for but there's nothing else about the Flamingo I don't like. I hope this property doesn't disappear if it's sold.

    • @NinthIslandConnection
      @NinthIslandConnection  2 года назад

      Hopefully they sell it to Vici, the land owner and lease it back to Caesars for them to continue to operate as Flamingo. They put so much money into the LinQ Promenade it wouldn't make sense to allow a competitor to come in, remodel it and take business away from the LinQ and Harrahs. Wish I could have stayed at the Riviera, such an iconic property! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I stayed at the Flamingo the end of 2019. I would not choose it again. Their "renovations" were very cheap looking and basic. The lobby reminds me of a clean subway station(white subway tiles on the walls). But to each their own. Others may love it.

    I would get the Ceasars credit card to get upgraded to platinum but the requirement to spend 5000 for that year to maintain the status is a deal breaker for me. 😆 mgm credit card upgraded me to pearl status and all I have to do to maintain it is keep making payments to my credit card every month. That giant flamingo pool in your video looked like a tropical escape! Did you find the pool scene overcrowded or overly "pinktastic"? And for poolside loungers like myself, would you say the Flamingo offers a relaxing oasis or a bit too much sensory overload?

    • @NinthIslandConnection
      @NinthIslandConnection  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and great question! If you’re looking for a chill poolside day, the Flamingo is not for you. It’s more of a party atmosphere at the Go Pool and a family pool at the other pool, lots of kids splashing and playing in the water. I would say the most chill pool that we have been at in Vegas is the Bellagio.

    Loved the Flamingo and stayed there many times over many years since the late 70's early 80's. Great location, not a long walk to your room, rooms always clean, restaurants are OK, being close to the Promenade is fantastic. The main con and the reason we do not stay there anymore is the smell. The casino floor smells of an industrial deodorizer. If you are in the hotel for a short while, it is OK. Any longer and it really wears on you. Much rather stay at the Linq. Same advantages as the Flamingo but newer.

If you want to be at the pool, you pretty much have to rent a daybed or cabana which STARTS at $200+ for the day---not even including the 200+ MINIMUM drink fee! Most are double to triple that and more. After gambling in their casino all night, it used to be nice to lay by the pool for a few hours. Now, unless you want to pay around $400, you're out of luck.

    Just returned from staying in Vegas for six days. If like me you are from the UK and want to go there my advice is dont. The Flamingo has no tea making facility in any rooms, the resort fees are $41 a night apparently for internet, use of pool and gym if they have one you get mugged for this amount even if you dont want any of the things you see on here. The casino is full of chain smoking obese individuals and the smell of weed is everywhere. They will give you free drinks if you are playing machines but I think the wine comes from a urinal and the spirits are knock offs and you get to drink it from a plastic cup. Outside you will be treated to scantily dressed people who pester you to have a photo with them and then try to mug you for as much as they can. Overall I would recommend that you stay in blighty and go to Southend or Blackpool and have the same experience for a tenth of the cost.

      In Vegas there is no coffee or tea making in any of the rooms except for downtown or in a very high class suite. It’s all what you make it and it sounds like you’re being very petty

      @@MichelleSlotChik I am guessing that your preferred breakfast may be a spliff or a burger or both. I on the other hand prefer a nice cup of English tea. It seems the land of the free doesn't run to a couple of tea bags in the room.

      You apparently vacationed without doing any research. Good job.

      Reads like you really had no clue about what people come to Las Vegas for ... it ain't for the tea & cucumber sandwiches, mate. Maybe a seaside cottage in Maine is more your speed.

      @@richarnold5323 Firstly lets get one thing straight and that is I am not your mate. I may have not known what people come to LV so my post is what I witnessed whilst there. I will take your advice though and have a break at a seaside cottage next time although it will not be in the USA because the people there don't understand the importance of tea and cucumber sandwiches only pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and cawfee which explains the obesity problem.

    You constant repeating of all your other video projects makes me feel like I'm watching a infomercial for all your revenue streams.
