RECIPE
Ingredients:
18 Oreo cookies, divided
1 can (14oz/400g) Sweetened condensed milk
2 cups (480ml) Heavy cream, cold
Directions:
1. Crush 14 Oreo cookies.
2. Place cold heavy cream in a large bowl, whip to stiff peaks.
3. Add sweetened condensed milk and beat on low speed until incorporated, add crushed cookies and fold.
4. Transfer into a container/dish, top with 3-4 extra crushed cookies and freeze for least 6 hours.

First batch just tasted like condensed milk so I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract and it tastes great!
Did you taste the vanilla flavor? Mine tasted like condensed milk but I didn't thought of vanilla extract next time I will add vanilla extract

This looks just like the recipe that was on the back of Oreo Cookie bags back in the 1980s. I made a batch of that for my Grandmother back then and she said it reminded her of how they made ice cream during the Great Depression. This definitely a "keeper"! Thank you.

I too tried making this ice cream today and it looked so amazing. I just placed it in the refrigerator and I guess I will try it tmr. But personally, I feel that it will be a little better to add vanilla essence/extract as without that I just taste more if the condense milk

I made this today, it's good 👌 waiting for it to chill, I can't wait!
Update: It holds/froze perfectly but I will reduce condensed milk next time to lessen sweetness. Also, there's still something left from what I made so I've added milk coz it was too creamy. I'll see how it goes.
*Adding bit of milk (similar to other recipes) will give it like store bought texture but with that homemade taste!

I had to come back and comment because when the kids and I made this...first of all it is so simple and quick!The hardest part was waiting for it to freeze overnight 🤣

All those who says whipping cream and ingredients are expensive, just go through the content of your store brought ice cream.it is not even made of milk cream , itz just frozen dessert, but when you make home made ice cream from whipping cream , itz really nutritious and healthy since it contains more than 35 % milk fats , without harmful chemicals ..i usually buy one litre whipping cream and make 4 different flavours of icecream , - butterscotch, vanilla , cookies and cream and mango .the basic recipe is same , only thing is you add different flavours..my kids love it and i am happy too....

Guys this is absolute yum yum from heaven. Awesome recipe, just one little touch feel free to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the ice cream ingredients. It really adds something little extra to ice cream experience. Just a tip 👍

you can mix with a normal spoon but it takes a really long time to reach stiff peaks .. if you really craving for the recipe you can give it a try with a spoon
U can do it with a spoon. U don't need to beat the cream to stiff peaks. Its a myth. I mixed everything by hand and it came out just as good.

Just a tip! Add milk if you want a less creamier texture! I've tried this recipe and the texture was too creamy so I added milk and it made a huge difference! 😊❤

So I tried making ur Oreo mousse but instead I used thick cream. I mixed the and it turned like liquid. I decided to freeze it but it turned into ice cream with a creamy flavor and Oreos. I love it when u saved ur food from a fail ❤but anyways I love ur videos they help me bake. Tysm!

BG_Wolfzy actually it will be more difficult because it will be very hard to mix oreos with already frozen ice cream :D
No some ice creams are soft when there out of the freezer
