The riggery is becoming more and more pronounced with each season lol. They really think we're not gonna realise the fact that in both AS2 and AS3, it was during the episode where the girls would be 5 and 5 - an equal number of returning queens vs current queens. 5v5 girl groups for AS3, and 5 comedy pairs for AS2 - though AS2 then had the awkward hosting part due to Adore quitting and making it an odd number of girls. It's almost certain they had the same thing planned for this season, and were going to have the twist next week when it would be 5v5 again. But when production saw that Valentina was the one who was about to get the chop, they done switched it up and had the twist an episode early (4 vs 4, with 2 convenient bystanders? Yeah that makes sense) to save Valentina. And that's not even touching on the fact that they've orchestrated the winners of the challenges/lipsyncs each week in order to ensure that their "you're going to lipsync against the girl you sent home" twist actually worked. Because the whole concept of the twist fails if each current girl hadn't eliminated one - and ONLY one - girl. The show is becoming so overproduced it's obnoxious.
Well someone has to go and, other than the time she won, she hasn't been amazing or at least that much better than the others, so she's definitely not off the hook.
I kinda wish they had done a roast on All Stars 3 and not this season. The only person from AS4 that I felt had the energy to carry a roast was Monet. Even Manila failed on her first season and I was worried her campy comedy would not translate. I could see Monique having enough energy to carry it even without jokes, which is basically what happened. But the rest of the cast I basically knew would bomb. I’ve seen Trixie roast and her dry humor can be really funny, Shangela could give a character with a story like on S3 and turn it, Ben would probably kill it too (she has won both reading challenges). At the very least those three could be great, having it this season was a choice. Still a great episode.
Jasper Trip Manila didn't "fail" on the Roast Challenge of Season 3 because there was no Roast Challenge in Season 3... There was a stand-up comedy challenge; not the same thing.

I went to the roast when they were in Dallas. Jinx is so funny to watch. Trixie they use to close the show. Then Willam was great and Latrice. Thorgy was the funniest!! Honestly, Trinity didn't do bad my night but i left to the merch room on her set hahaha. Her strength are quick reactions to other people's sets. Eureka almost ruined the entire roast getting offended by something, so Willam started throwing paper airplanes to save the show lol.
