I think for something like One Piece, cgi to make the characters more cartoony and closer to the original would be so much cooler. I dont think anyone can pull off Luffy. Zoro and Nami are pretty good. Better than I expected but I dont feel it will work

Zoro seems more interesting in movies as he is but luffy is not less interesting then captain jack-sparrow 😂. Dnt disappoint us like Avatar or may be it’s by ourselves,those characters are shown best by Japanese themselves. Or let’s say Japanese are alys cool like every where fashion trending. So, we expect movies which are manga related and later we say No,nah😂😂😂😂

Looks like a fan made movie.... Animation does not need to be translated into live action.
To be honest the ONLY live action i think, that was as good or better than the anime / manga, was GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka, the TV show on フジテレビ (Fuji TV) back in the late 90's.
