This has got to be the funniest skit ever on the Jack Benny show. Its so funny and Barry Gordon looks like him when he puts on those glasses and acts like him. Unbelievable talent even way back then !!!
Love Barry Gordon. He was an excellent actor. I would have liked to see more performances from him. He also starred in an episode of "Make Room for Daddy" called "Talented Kid"
I love this! Barry Gordon gave memorable performances in two episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" in 1960: "The Day of the Bullet" and "The Contest for Aaron Gold." He was on the Jack Benny Program the following year. I was just watching "Archie Bunker's Place" on Antenna TV and kept thinking, "That guy playing Archie's lawyer looks so familiar." I had no idea that was Barry Gordon! He had the same face 20 years later.
I've never seen this bit, LOL! Benny could say more with a look than most comedians could with a hundred words. Barry is a ringer for a young Benny. Thanks for posting.
Hahaha. I was looking for a video where Barry Gordon was singing "I gettin nuttin for Christmas and found this gem and connected that song of his to this video.
I knew it was him. I was watching Archie Bunker's place and I thought the lawyer was the kid playing an agent for a kid playing Jack Benny when he was a kid. I'm a big Jack Benny fan, not so much Archie Bunker's Place, but it's okay because of Carrol O'Connor. I finally remembered to look at his ) Barry Gordon's) tv credits and dam, I was right.
Barry Gordon is one of the most underrated talents in Hollywood history

He was also the voice of Donatello on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What a wide-ranging, varied career!
Love it! I'd rather watch the greats like Jack Benny, than most of what's on today!
Barry was amazing..l first became aware of his talent watching A Thousand Clowns with Jason Robards.

Barry Gordon has always been one of the mod talented comedy (and dramatic) actors around. He was on everything as a kid.
