Absolutely agree!! But this is the culture only in India and those absolutely conservative people from specific religions. People look down on divorced mothers and if they remarry this is the sacrifice they make. It’s definitely not easy loving someone else’s child but why do these very people resort to adoption when they cannot have biological children. In other countries they make it seamless for children who are part of divorced parents. Lesson learnt hard way. Absolutely agree!! But this is the culture only in India and those absolutely conservative people from specific religions. People look down on divorced mothers and if they remarry this is the sacrifice they make. It’s definitely not easy loving someone else’s child but why do these very people resort to adoption when they cannot have biological children. In other countries they make it seamless for children who are part of divorced parents. Here in India if the child happens to be a boy the mother is literally blackmailed into giving up the child and loosing custody. Sad state of affairs.

Lesson learnt hard way. In India, marriage certificates are signed while you are in the church after all the marriage ceremony vows are complete. There are multiple witnesses including the priest. Even is Islam, the signing of documents happens in front of multiple witnesses. There is a system and should not be ridiculed.
