That’s awesome man! I suggest getting a pair with a Jhook style o2 sensor bung to try and prevent a check engine light because I just had it pop up and also get the ones with brackets so you can bolt them onto the support bracket so they don’t hang low and cause the rest of your exhaust to bang on stuff and try not to get a flex pipe style also. I may be in the minority, but I preferred the sound before the test pipes. Sounded more refined and controlled. But if you're after volume, these test pipes certainly did the trick.
Yeah man so it’s basically a tube that goes from your headers to your cat back exhaust. Essentially a cat delete. Art pipes are going to be more expensive because they are probably made of a better material and tuned to make specific sounds might have an extra chamber on it also and look really crazy sometimes. You can have resonated test pipes, straight test pipes, hi flo cats, or stock cats (catalytic converters). You usually want those to increase power but you will also get a ton of volume sometimes unwanted but most people like the aggressive sounds. But will usually cause a drone in the cabin. Like a consistent humming sound that will either not bother you or drive you crazy and last but not least you will get a lot of exhaust smell also, sometimes getting into the cabin and smelling pretty terrible but typically pretty tolerable
That nasty foul gas smell most likely won’t go away from what I’ve read, I recently installed MD art pipes on my Z and it smells awful when you have the car idling
Yeah I low key regret every car I’ve sold hahaha 2018 mustang gt performance pack 350z. Jeep Wrangler, I’m gonna slowly try to buy them back someday maybe not the exact ones but you know. The struggle is real!
Nice z but sadly These test pipes will not last long with the tune and or if you shoot flames because of the flex joint well either way on the hottest part of the exhaust. Next time I would recommend Burke or ISR resonated test pipes. subbed
Go art pipes or James CW works design art pipes with the invidia. It will sound a lot better. And get that tune soon. You’ll definitely see great results in the dyno and lower her and you’ll be golden👍🏻
My 370z is still on stocks and I love it and don't plan on changing wheels but I got the 2013 with the sport wheels so I have the rays wheels , they look sick . But I will add nismo suspension.

it burbles and theres a few crackles on downshifting and decelerating in gear but nothing like a tuned car............. YET!!!!!!!
After changing the cats did u feel a difference
Yeah little more responsive and power seems to hit a bit harder after 4K rpm
