      To be specific.She talks too fast, she doesn’t have great kitchen skills, she doesn’t really do anything remotely scientific(like timing the process). And she just generally seems inexperienced and silly.

      I generally agree with that but some unitaskers are worth it. He did use an Espresso machine on some episodes, and that is a uni tasker. Same with a burr grinder. For myself, I'm Asian. I need a rice cooker.

    • @eviltricster8090
      @eviltricster8090 5 лет назад +2

      Ehh, it really just depends on technique and how sharp the knife is. I clean fish probably 3ish times in a good week with a 13in bowie knife. I couldn't use that flimsy fillet knife ever again after i did it once at the lake cause i forgot my fillet knife.

    • @pjkokos
      @pjkokos 3 года назад

      It looked as her knife skills were off as well. It definitely seemed that the knife was too big for her. She just didn't in my opinion have command of that knife. I wouldn't spend $150 for that product. Skin zit that looks like a Atari joystick.

  • @nicoarete8189

  • @cmystery4180

    People complaining about knife skills, but this is a gadget meant to be used by people who probably don't have knife skills (or don't have the strength to do it), so I think it's rather fair that she's not super fast/super amazing at skinning a fish. Not every gadget is meant to be for a sushi chef or to be for everyone. But I bet if you have issues holding knives or have a large family, and eat a lot of fish, this would be great. She seems very lovely, looking forward to more videos~

    The knife is only a tool, the outcome of that performance is based of the experience of the wielder. Not to be disrespectful but you have to learn the proper skills before judging the technique. Cleaning that machine would take more time for me then making 4 files of fish and cleaning the knife. Since the skin of the fish is very tough you can have a bigger angle towards the skin without cutting it. Also leave a bit of flesh on the tail side so you can get a good hold of the file and help pulling it towards the knife. This will help you to get at least 97% of the fish with a bit of practice. :)
    PS Hold the skin tightly between the knife and cutting board to make sure only the skin can slit through. Trust me ;D

    I can't even afford fish that isn't canned/frozen lmao, forget a $150 fish skinner xD

    a gadget should solve a problem or make a job easier and faster. I agree that if you eat fish often enough this gadget is worth the cost because it won't waste or damage the fish. Plus it looks awesome and fun.

    Cooking fish with skin on is a lot easier than cutting it before-hand, the skin falls of easily once the fish is cooked

    Knife is too dull and is way too big. It might be good for steak but not fish.

    1. The only kind of people that would buy that thing work in the industry.
    2. You need a fish knive,

    I don't mind her as a host. But I was kinda thrown off with how she skinned the fish using the knife.

    Im not an expert or anything but using a knife seems much classier. Its real craftsmanship plus a knife is much easier to clean. But hey, if you wanna spend 150 bucks on this gadget - to each their own.

    Your knife was a bit large on such a small fish. The blade should be narrower and thinner.

    For the fish I eat and prepare, I keep the skin most times. It's a shame people waste food.

    It’s too expensive for people who don’t eat enough fish but there the ones that would need it. I’ve been filleting fish my whole life and if you use the right knife it’s easy to do efficiently. You also recommended this for people who eat fish a lot but those people most likely have become proficient with just a knife

    A fillet knife is $20, and would do a better job then both of those. I was surprised at how well it worked though
