Welcome to my last travel vlog in Guatemala! Guatemala far exceeded my expectations and is a country I know I will return to in the future. Comment down below if Guatemala is on your travel list (if it wasn’t already, you should add it!) 🇬🇹👇
Nice video, I've spent a lot of time at the lake and it seems like you hit all the right spots. Santiago is nice as well and they have this interesting wooden deity called Machimon that is quite unique to see. San Juan is great so glad you had time to check it out. I'll be going to the lake in July and couldn't be more excited.
This was such a great vlog! I’m in Antigua now and headed to Lake Atitlan in a few days. I learned so much from your video and can’t wait to check out some of those towns myself 😍 especially San Juan!
Prices vary depending on the town but you can definitely find affordable prices. Based on my research the water is clean enough to swim in the town of San Marcos, though its not recommended to swim in all other towns.
Great vid. So I'm coming in December. How much was it to get there from the airport (cheapest way) and how much do the boat rides cost to take you from one town to the next on the lake?...I'm going to do 9 days solo down there so please don't hesitate to give a fellow traveler recommendations and travel hacks while I'm there please. 🙏
I came from Antigua and took a shuttle (you can book them at tons of places in town). I don’t remember exactly but I would guess the shuttle cost $10-15 USD. The boat rides around the lake cost $1-3 depending on how far you go. Enjoy your trip!
Nice video buddy. Just some questions: (1) How many towns are there around Lake Atitlan because as I understand there are several places around the lake. (2) After you leave the airport towards Lake Atitlan, what is the name of the town that you will first arrive ? (3) And what is the name of that town or place you would recommend as a base while exploring the nearby places around the lake? I’m taking about easy access to those places where there are decent hotels and restaurants while im there say for a week. Thanks
I’m not quite sure how many towns there are but quite a few. You will likely take a bus to either Panajachel or San Pedro. You can access boats to get to all towns from anywhere so it’s really what you are looking for. Panajachel is the biggest town. San Pedro has a more backpacker feel.
@@vegaszoom6139 This I am not sure. I dont think you will find a bus from the airport. Most likely you will have to go to Antigua or Guatemala City first. Then to Lake Atitlan.

You mean there is bus from the airport straight to Panajechel?

Why are you leaving Guatemala so soon?
It is a beautiful and inexpensive country 💁🏻♀️
Good luck in your next destination!
Are you a budget traveler ?
Hey Paul, yes I typically try to travel on a budget!
