Nobody even know about the anime other than DMC community, and most of them liked it. Sure it's not the best, Patty is annoying at first, but she grew on me, and I love her little cameo in DMC 5. It's fine for what they really aim to do, showing Dante's day to day life. I wish we have more of that in the canon.

The show was never hated, it's pretty decent. Slots right in with other mid-tier anime from the era like Gun X Sword.
