RAIL HISTORY: First look as new Corwen Station welcomes passenger train

The Llangollen Railway sent its first steam-hauled train carrying passengers to the new Corwen Station, which looked superb, complete with water tower, run-round line and signal box. This double headed train was for special guests, with tje wider public getting the chance to check out the new station, which will be used for all Llangollen and Corwen Railway services, from Saturday, June 3.

​@@wegladstone1967possibly more to do with breaking force and time keeping. Fairly sure the austerity could manage that train albeit slowly and working its guts out. Which would be a great thing to see on a cold winters day slipping and all 👀
