If you run a Lighdramon or the toge bt16 armor form, you could even run the bt16 magnamom x antibody as a one of in this deck.

Don't give people ideas that'd break this deck even more 😂

Jamming EX-1 XV-mon is still a relatively safe early game swing for aggressive players. Not every ACE has Blocker, and not every ACE is straight up removal. If you somehow lose the XV, running the new BT-16 Wormmon can allow you to just digivolve back into it from your trash anyway. Paildramon is also relatively unsafe from ACE cards due to its lower DP, so it is not guaranteed to be a safe check either, especially because higher level ACE cards tend to have more punishing effects, and you're more likely to see those by the time you can DNA with this deck anyway. Saying an early game tempo check is a bad idea in the format isn't necessarily a correct blanket statement.

It is hard to exactly as there are still a ton of early game blockers that can wall out jamming exvee on top of aces. The axes people run are the ones that come with removal because otherwise, there is very little point to playing them. The point is that there are more ways to deal with the early game aggression that makes it harder for me to recommend playing it that way. Paildramon is also fairly safe in the early game as most aces can not deal with 8k level 5's, and if they do partition, it is a thing. BT16 worm is barely used because he is harder to Evo with in raising and is better hard played off the tamer to set up an easy DNA.
Like at the end of the day, like the disclaimer says, it is just my take, and decks should always be iterated on to fit your own tastes and meta.

For the 5th egg, you really want to run bt12 dimeveemon. Seeing how your playing 4 bt16 Veemon, and it cannot evolve from blue eggs.
You also said you don't really swing with lv4s, blue all lv5 up are part green. So it'll always be live, VS needing a blue tamer to get the same draw 1.
Red Plug in might be a good idea over blitz Omnimon, seeing how 6 of 7 lv5s are double swinging, and Fghter ACE also is too.

Bt12 demivee is a good 5th egg. Bt16 veemon can Evo for free off demivee eggs.
The reason why you don't always want to swing with the level 4's is because of ace digimon and they could set up an early blocker. But yes bt12 demivee would let you get the draw. Against Mirage you might not want to always draw so there is a lot to think about there but that depends on how the meta shapes up.
Red plug in isn't a bad card if we have the memory to spare for it.
