When Kxip made him captain in 2018, we all thought it redeem his career but it backfired badly. Last year the Butler run out incident (which was legally right) didnt go down too well with the fans and got him a transfer to Delhi.
But all said and done he has proved that he is one of most hard working of cricketers and always tries to evolve with time. Hope he helps India win an overseas test match in SENA some day.

@@jugshekhawat5785 Flat track bully? Df he has a hundred in Antigua which is one of the toughest to bat on. And yeah, Your cricketing knowledge must be immense for you to term a genuine off spinner as a 'flat track bully' . Do you even realize that it's used for batsmen more on often ?

This guy, who wanted to be an opening batsman, lost his slot in under 14 team, got injured, took time off, in that time lost his opening slot, and due to injury lost the dream of becoming a fast bowler and choose to be an off-spinner.
And then went on to become the best off-spinner in the world for quite some time, and came to be regarded as one of the best ever, along with the number one ranked all-rounder.
This is a story that pushes me to win in life, from no matter what situation.

Ashwin is the reason we have won so many test matches in past 6-7 years, disheartening to see why he is not being picked in Odi's and t20's, the story which her mom told reminded me of the attitude and patience that Ashwin showed us yesterday against Australia at SCG, not able to stand a day before and playing for 21+ overs, Hats off legend🙌

Great story.. so real and sincere... great family support to a great respectful son who is not a very humble man. who is making a very good role model for young players. I can relate to many things there about playing on street, tennis ball cricket, u14,16 and 19 and then first class cricket, the struggle and the passion, But big Well-done to his Dad to be there for him to help him to be who he is today

Please let your children chase their dreams. Good for Ashwin and Sachin they all had family support. Good Luck all
