Great truck. Thanks for showing Fil
Thanks, Dirk. 👊🏼
Pleeeese stop promoting RWD Monstertruck Fil!
I just bought a used Slash RWD recently and realised how fun it is to drive. Now I am completely broke, but I really wanna but iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!😂
OK, enough with dramatism, but I do believe RWD offroaders have their own charms. Slash, DT-03 which you recommended me earlier, DT-02 and DT01 I love all them to drive. Probablly because of the lighter weight compared to their 4WD counterparts, and capability of pulling of drifts.
This Arrma seems rather quite similar to 4WD model, but still it should be quite fun to drive! Looking forward to your demonstration in the near future!!
I'm sorry, Sakura!!! Haha! I'm a very bad influence! 😆
But hey, I feel you, pal. The RWD trucks are a different beast entirely. The challenge to drive them is a lot of fun! OK, time to go take it for a spin! 😁
I love my Granite, it has seen some abuse and it is now fully upgraded to 3s capable and it is a monster! I am looking forward to getting my hands on the new Vorteks Mega 550 truck, just waiting for my LHS to get some more in stock.
Yeah I thought about grabbing the Vorteks 550, but I've had an itch to get my hands on this Granite for some time. Too many RC's, not enough time. Lol! 😁
I've had two Arrmas. I had a 1/8 scale typhon, but sold it shortly afterwards. Too much car for what I wanted. But, my Typhon Grom is a different story, It's so much fun. Very agile, decently quick, like a radio controlled squirrel.
RC Squirrel! That's a perfect explanation for the little Grom. They are a blast to drive, right? 😁
@@poorboysrc very much so. I would prefer it was able to go 30mph. Maybe a brushless system is in order.
Looks awesome in blue. Well it's a RTR, so kind of waiting on some action shots, Fil 😁🤝
Haha, you'll get them very soon, my man! I see some major potential with this truck and wanted to make a dedicated running video for it. Stay tuned! 😉
Well I gotta agree with ya Fil, that's a lot of truck for your buck! Such a beefy looking rig with a great spec, should be able to take anything you can throw at it with the "mild" powerplant and RWD setup. But the advantage over most other entry level rigs is the built-in upgradability of this one! Can't wait to see you send it, dude! 😎🤘
Isn't it funny that a 550 12T and 7 cell nimh is considered a "mild" setup? Hahaha. Back in the day, that would be a ballistic setup! Looks like the Skate Park is calling... Time to go bash! 😁👊🏼🍻
@@poorboysrc Absolutely mate, it is not a mild setup in terms of a Tamiya! But yeah I was speaking in relation to the brushless upgrades you can get for this rig! Have a great time at the Skate Park dude! 😎🤝🤘
Ahhhh, that's what I bought for my brother! Still going.
They're great trucks!
blue blue is my truck..sometimes it gets stuck..thank you TomleyRC for putting that silly kids song stuck in my head! can't wait to see the running vid! and boo! on our government on banning Tamiya spray cans in Canada. let's hope it's sorted soon. cheers! see you in the next vid!
Just editing up some running forrtage now! :)
Had a senton 3s. Bend the shock shafts on second outing otherwise very durable. Broken its chassis by the steering posts once by having it tarmac slam from a skate ramp. Do take out the inner hinge pings and grease them. Once they rusted in you will be cursing away trying to hammer these out.
Awesome tips, thanks! 👍🏻
@@poorboysrc 1/8 scale zdracing shocks for a budget upgrades. The prolines are the definite fix for the arrma shocks but they are 50 for 2.
Amazing video 👍 have a great day and many greetings Heiko
Hi Heiko! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Hope you enjoy the channel! 👊🏼
Looks pretty cool, Fil! while ago, I was at the indoor track and someone drove a Granite there, I had a look at it but didn't drive it, but it felt really nice, beefy!
Good choice to get the 4x4 option already, I think it might be a bit "lacking" with only RWD. I like the Arrma concept, but would have been even more cool they would sell their cars as proper rollers, us hobbyists have transmitters enough, ha ha!
Ah, now that would be something. An Arrma roller that needs assembly. Us Tamiya guys are so accustomed to having to assemble our kits, it's in our blood! Haha. I'm with ya, pal. 👊🏼
Great video! That is a good-looking truck. But for a RTR beginner truck. My vote goes to the team associated mt10.
I've heard nothing but good things about the MT10. It looks so good! 👍🏻
Nice looking truck that one in the best colour! Like the idea of being able to boost parts of it. Look forward to the running video.
The Boost options are a great idea, I think Arrma nailed it with this platform. 👍🏻
Awesome video!.. just an fyi I just had to resubscribe again to your channel , this is the second time I've noticed I was unsubscribed from your channel!. I've heard about RUclips unsubbing people from channels, but now I definitely know they are! ✌
Yeah, I think that's part of the YT algorithm... It's built to remove the bandwidth wasters. I appreciate you re-subbing! The 👍🏻, the comments are literally currency to us YT content creators. 👊🏼
@@poorboysrc yeah I don't understand what's up with that because I watch pretty much every one of your videos smh .. I'll just keep keeping my eye on it! 😁
@SoundStream101 thanks, dude! I don't get it, either. My channel suffers from this type of thing a lot. I don't ever want to be "that guy" and beg people to check if they're still subbed, ya know? It's a mystery to me, man. I'm just busting ass trying to make it work. And I truly appreciate your commitment. 👊🏼
Love the t-shirt. I use that phrase most days before i go home from the office.
Hahaha, I hope you use the full Cartman voice, too! 😆😆😆
@@poorboysrc I try..... probably not very successfully 🤣🤣
I’ve got one with AWD. It’s the best thing ever
I believe it! I'm gonna get mine out for a rip today. I'm stoked! 👍🏻
Yeah man! Gettin some arrma!
I've caught the Arrma bug, Chris! 🤯
@@poorboysrc now get a felony!!
Spend the 40 bucks for the 4wd upgrade 2wd off-road trucks are lame unless it’s a desert runner.
Did you watch the video??? 🤔
@@poorboysrcbeginning to end 👍
Good morning
And a tip O' the cap to you, good sir. 😉
As of today’s date. The car cost $110 in Amazon, the no battery edition.
That's crazy! 👌

Come back this comment in a year or so when you have had more time in the hobby.
Beginner is easy to fix with readily available parts. A lot of cars are rtr or artr but there are lots of kits out there. The hornet is a perfect example of a beginner kit as most experienced builders can knock one up in a few hours or a beginner can start to understand the basics of what makes these cars work.

@Death3336 batteries - fair point. Different compositions need to be treated differently and some if you get them wrong have serious repercussions.
Diffs - in its simplest form, you are correct but the progression is how you set them differently up for best performance.
As you have said, you are new to the hobby so have questions and that is perfectly fine as we all started somewhere. Maybe don't try and sound so dismissive though and you might find help or answers come to you more readily.

Discussion and opposing viewpoints are always welcome here, my dude. As long as we keep it Civil ("Be Excellent to Each Other") I LOVE a good discussion from anothers' viewpoint. 👍🏻
