Thanks for the video! Always informative and concise. Personally I would love some more endo technique or removable prosth (complete denture technique, immediate denture, partial denture design, etc.). Always a great watch sir

I love diagnostic wax ups for veneers and just about any big restorative case. Wax ups really go a long way in treatment planning and case acceptance

I agree. I don't like to beginning any complex case without knowing how it is going to turn out. Wax ups provide me with that information. If I can do it in the wax up, I can do it in the mouth. With veneers, the wax up is thicker than the presenting teeth, and the provisional restoration PVS matrix is made on the wax up model, so the bisacrylate provisionals are thicker and easier to handle.

Thank you very much for the video. From what I see you prepare vestibulary only the teeth which are out of the arch?On all the regular ones you just add the wax and model it?
    Thank you !

If I understand your question, that is correct. Read the article I published on waxing up stone models for veneers in the library of DMC.com.

Hello, do you take bite record and facebow for wax up, or just alginate impressions?

If I am significantly changing the incisal plane in the wax up, then yes, I take a bite record and face bow for the wax up. If I am not dramatically changing the incise plane and length of the teeth to be veneered, then I can make small corrections in the provisionals with flowable composite or adjusting the incisal plane of the provisional restorations.
