Good pick! Uhm all cable releases are pretty much of the same size (when it comes to the head of the release itself) but lengthwise mine's only like a feet or 2 long. Not very long. And I bought it off amazon.
Francis Bombus thanks! And yes it is ulttamax 400. Kodak Gold 400 and ultramax 400 are the same. I searched it out before. Also just so happened my local lab call it kodak gold 400. But yea it is ultramax as well!
Hmm in my honest opinion, the images will not turn as good as they will if you used a tripod and cable release. Not to mention, your shots will likely be underexposed even if you are shooting an 800 speed film.
The shutterspeed varied depending on what my lightmeter indicated. I believed my ISO was rated at 200 because I was shooting a 400 iso-speed film. I overexposed it by one step.
I've had my K1000 for 36 years and I've taken some great photos of the moon
multimood That’s a long long time. That’s a testament to how long this camera can last
This video is fucking amazing man. Love the photos you took.
Thanks so much man! I appreciate you!
Who did you say you want to thank? Todd? Where can we get that book. Love the video
It is Todd Hido - one of the great photographers. I donot know if his books are still available today. I bought mine from Amazon.
I recently got a Pentax K1000! What cable release did you use for the camera? Is there a specific size(?)
Good pick! Uhm all cable releases are pretty much of the same size (when it comes to the head of the release itself) but lengthwise mine's only like a feet or 2 long. Not very long. And I bought it off amazon.
Great video! Could u tell me which book this is at 0:30?
Thanks! It is Todd Hido: Intimate Distance: Twenty-Five Years of Photographs, A Chronological Album
Dis you use a flash?
Nope. The shots were long exposure shots.
My Pentax K 1000 camera is down the rewind crank / door release won't open. Please help!!
Did this happen after shooting? So like your rewinding the film back?
Nice Video! Did you shoot Kodak Gold 200 or Kodak Ultramax 400? I thought there is no Gold 400.
Francis Bombus thanks! And yes it is ulttamax 400. Kodak Gold 400 and ultramax 400 are the same. I searched it out before. Also just so happened my local lab call it kodak gold 400. But yea it is ultramax as well!
Francis Bombus sorry for the confusion. Do you thnk I should stick to calling it ultramax since it’s widely known as that?
@@erwnalejo No problem. No problem. I thought there might be a Kodak Gold 400 in the USA. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Germany
Francis Bombus I think they’re the same! Thanks, Francis! I apprecite it! Greetings from Canada!
what happens if i dont use a cable release and a tripod? thinking to try w a cinestill 800. yall think the image will make it?
Hmm in my honest opinion, the images will not turn as good as they will if you used a tripod and cable release. Not to mention, your shots will likely be underexposed even if you are shooting an 800 speed film.
Keep doing cool contents bro!
Kurt Albalos thank you sir! 👍🏻

could you explain reciprocity failure next time
Sorry about that! I will definitely give more insight on what reciprocity failure is in my future videos!
