  • In honor of National Native American Heritage month, we are taking the time to recognize and appreciate the beautiful art and culture of the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest by drawing our own totem pole.
The totem pole is a unique, hand-carved monument created by the First Nations of the Northwest Coast of North America to represent and commemorate family legends and lineage, spirituality, sacred or mythological beings, and culturally important animals, people or events. This lesson was done the week of November 16th-20th 2020 to kindergarten - 2nd grade students.
