    And that's why you take an Uber to and from an audit. You park your car at the local mall, take the Uber to the opposite side of the mall when you're done, have a nice lunch, walk to the other side of the mall where your car is and then leave. We need to change the laws as to when police can run plates. If a regular citizen can't run a plate AT ALL, police shouldn't be able to run plates whenever the F they want.

      TheArmchairrocker - just so you're aware, some activists have documented that the drivers of those vehicles have given them your information as well, its not enough to use a service, they will inform them the first name and last initial, the locations they picked you up and dropped you off, they will then depending on how ornery they are get a warrant signed by a yes man judge who then compels the service to turn over all your other information... dirty cops don't stop... P.S. public transportation is the best, but they've been known to follow people there as well, so there is no "good" way to avoid it, bad cops don't stop, if they are willing violate one right, why wouldn't violate more, and thats the whole problem...

      complaints don't change bad cops, that much has been demonstrated for decades, what they need are sustained and repeated lawsuits that keep them on their toes constantly, problem is decades have shown us they eventually get comfortable and go right back to the old ways because the average person they encounter and perform the actions upon cannot afford an attorney to hold them accountable for their behavior... until we can all "afford" justice we will not have it...

    The only thing I would say is that it is NOT the same thing when police run your plates as when you film their plates. The police not only have all the resources of the state to extract personal information from those plates, but they have all the power and authority of the state to USE that information to violate your rights.
    And as we know that many of a person's private rights are suspended when they are acting as public services. So therefore equal rights aren't an adequate justification for a police officer doing a certain thing you as a citizen have a right to do.
    So while it might be LEGAL for police to run plates willy nilly or run them because they don't like what you are doing, doesn't mean it is their right to do it... It shouldn't be just hand waved away like that, and there should be more of a burden than "because we want to run that plate". If not probable cause at least reasonable suspicion.
    We should be pushing back on such behavior BECAUSE this activity has a chilling effect on the free exercise of our rights, you know that and they know that. That's why they do it. They want to make you feel unsafe in exercising your rights and feel as if because you are filming they are investigating you in order to criminalize your rightful activities.

    Considering the multiple law enforcement agencies who have (recently) removed officers from patrol duty for not passing required psychological evaluations, the overwhelming majority of law enforcement agencies who clearly (proudly) display extreme sheer destain, demeaning, hatred toward taxpayers/general population. To digitally track taxpayers for conducting constitutional protected activity, moreover, for conducting tours of publicity assessable areas (w/ or without camera) in order to observe public employees while in course of duties = tracking private citizens (while not committing crime) is violation of civil rights. Thanks and continue to hold head high and be safe (same applies No Name and all 1AA) God Bless American

    These officers in this town were breast fed wayyy too long, cause their ridiculous & unnecessary behavior portrays them as a bunch of big babies. Horrific! Despicable actions! 😡 Should be ashamed of themselves!

    You can't film but they can stalk you, one of them is a crime and the other one isn't which one do you think is the crime? Just because you can do something doesn't mean it's always appropriate or professional. Why wouldn't the dispatcher have a list of the officers and their vehicle numbers. Just another way to avoid transparency

    Retaliation is not an official act. It's a personal thing. Therefore, when they ran your plates, they used the computer system for personal business. That's a felony. That's your case.

  • @David1234hi

    I think it should be the only way they can run a plate is they have to put in what you gave done illegal and where the car was when they saw you commit the crime so they footage can be pulled of u committing the crime

  • @AtlanticCapers
    @AtlanticCapers 2 года назад +1

    Every time they retaliated against you by running your plates, they committed a separate felony. That's 16 felonies committed against you.

    What a shameful situation: for a country to have such grandiosity of scale and opulence but with its law enforcement that needs to be profoundly readucated of its constitutional rights.
